Arbus is situated 260 miles (418 kilometers) southwest of Rome, the national capital, and approximately 110 miles (177 kilometers) southwest of Olbia.
Arbus isn't the only place in Sardinia worth seeing; those with enough time can also drive a little further out to experience the magic of the surrounding scenery, cities and towns. Two places within a relatively short distance of Arbus are Villaspeciosa, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northwest, and San Sperate, 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northwest.
Around 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the north of Arbus is Oristano, a regional center where you'll find Statue of Eleanor (Statua di Eleonora d'Arborea), Oristano St. Francisco Church (Chiesa di San Francesco) and Tower of St. Christophoros. Church of Santa Chiara (Chiesa di Santa Chiara) and Cathedral of Oristano are more attractions in Oristano that should be high on every traveler's itinerary.
No matter what your spiritual beliefs, you're sure to find a little enlightenment at Sardinia's churches and other places of worship. Take a trip to Sardinia's craft workshops, art museums and nature museums. These are good places to hang out, especially when the weather is a little moody.
Sardinia offers plenty of activities for active travelers with an affinity for watersports. Kite surfing and sailing are some of the ways to have fun upon the water here. Have you ever wondered if you'd be brave enough to have a try sky diving? This region is a great place to have a go.
As your adventure winds to a close, you'll be sure to bid Arbus a sad "Ciao"
