Old age home in remote locationPosted Feb 19, 2014
If you haven't rented a car for this portion of your trip you will feel like a captive in a retirement community. The food at the restaurant was about equivalent to a college dining hall. The only thing to be said for this place is the landscaping and the views. Really beautiful, but really overpriced for what it was.

Nice hotelPosted Feb 13, 2014
Cons: It would be better if the hotel has more selection of the buffer breakfast
Location: The hotel is very closed to all attraction
We loved the room that we were staying in. It had a nice view and comfortable

Very nice, quiet and relaxingPosted Feb 10, 2014
Nice duplex cabanas, facilities, and all with great view of volcano (unfortunately dormant now). Best if you have your own car, but they really need to pave the dirt road leading up to the resort.

Great visit at Arenal ManoaPosted Feb 4, 2014
We stayed for two days in late January and had a great visit. The grounds are beautiful, the staff was very friendly and the proximity and views of the Arenal volcano were amazing.

Gardeners enjoy the beauty of the gardensPosted Jan 24, 2014
Pros: The golf carts came immediately when called, and the rooms were nice.
Cons: More light in the bathroom, and in one of our rooms the hot and cold water was reversed.
Location: We did the Skytram and zip line. Guides were weak, but it was nice to not have to climb stairs to do the zip line. Ecco Danous birds and plants.
16 gardeners enjoyed two nights at the lovely Manoa. We were greeted with delicious drinks and envelops with our names on them. The lovely flowers blooming everywhere were a particular delight to us. The hot springs were nice and the resturant was good and convenient. We received excellent service.

Nice hotel near Arenal volcanoPosted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Beautiful grounds, very nice staff.
Cons: Breakfast buffet was so-so. Could have used more selection. Dinner menu was limited. Ordered from the room service menu as it had different items.
Hotel staff was exceptional. Very remote as most hotels are in Arenal with only one restaurant. Could have used more selection on the menu, especially if you just wanted something simple. Ordered off the room service menu two nights. Also didn't change the menu prices and bill was slightly higher than the menu. Since it was so remote, would have been nice if they had a little store to purchase snacks. Also two rooms side by side. The walls were very thin and could hear the other people very late. Since the resort was not that booked up it would have been nice if they had put us with no one beside us. Also very limited breakfast buffet.

Very nice property....but we were traveling from Monteverde to and had car issues . We called the Monoa 24 hours in advance to advise and say that we may have to cancel if we couldn't get there from Monteverde. We were told, too bad, we would be charged the room whether we made it or not. The manager really didn't seem to care, in fact I felt that they were happy we may not make it and still get their room fees for the night. But...as I said, we did make it and it was a very nice property. Not the best attitude in regards to staff though.....
