The location was great. A little out of town, and down a private dirt road. When you pull in, you feel like the resort is there just for you. The set up is great. Ask for a bungelo where the patio is not facing the street. The view of the volcano is great. We were able to see debree come out of the valcano and tumble down the side. The Staff was very, accomodating and took the time to meet every need and want. The restaurant had a great selection from fish, steak, and fresh vegatables.

“Very Good Hotel”

Very nice hotel. Great view of the Volcano from the rooms and the restaurant. Great pools. Hotel service could improve, but it was a nice stay. I would go back in the future.

“Amazing resort, beautiful views, luxurious”

We would recommend this hotel to anyone going to La Fortuna and we would definitely stay there again! The resort was beautiful, with your own cabin and wonderful garden. Our cabin, the restaurant and pools had beautiful views of the volcano with the lush forest backgrounds. Wonderful for a family trip or even a romantic getaway!

“Under the Volcano”

Lovely duplexes set in flowering gardens, all with a view! Wake up to the sound of monkeys. Watch carefully--we saw a brief eruption w/steam & flying hot rocks. Beautiful pool & swim up bar--ask to have a room near the pool/restaurant area--part of the new expansion is far away. One of the best breakfasts in 20 days in Costa Rica! Delicious, overpriced outdoor restaurant, under the steaming volcano.

“Arenal Manoa is a nice place to stay”

We have stayed in a few different hotels over the years in La Fortuna / Arenal. Hotel Manoa compared very well. The views from the room were spectacular. The service was very good and we enjoyed our stay. On the not so good side was the pool area which was very small and not extremely kid friendly. It was nice to have breakfast included, but the selection was not great and the buffet was not very efficient (only one cook trying to handle all the egg orders). Again, the room was very nice with a large bathroom, but the beds were a little hard. However, all in all, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would stay there again in the future.

“good location, excellent value”

The location (a few minutes outside La Fortuna - is very convenient for either going into town or driving to the various attractions. Service was excellent, prompt and attentive, and was overall, excellent value for money. I does get a bit crowded at breakfast when the tour buses arrive.

“Great value, beautiful realxing atmosphere”

Wonderful place to stay. Would recommend to anyone. Only negative is that the sign is a little hidden off the road. We had a hard time finding the turn off.

“Best Arenal Volcano view, beautiful gardens, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff”

We chose this hotel after reading reviews in Tripadvisor and were very happy wtih hotel. an amazing view of the volcano from the glass door of our bedroom, tropical gradens with flowers, birds and butterflies. staff were very friendly and helpful. we spent the evenings at the hot water pool drinking margaritas from the bar in the pool. Dont miss the hanging bridges at the end of the Dam bridge, over the Arenal lake. we recomend to take a guide in order to understand the rainforest .

“Paradise!!”

Arenal Manoa was much nicer than expected. There website photos do not do them justice. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms modern and the location was excellent. The perfect view of the volcano from the bed every morning was like waking up in paradise. The resort is 1km off the main road so it is quiter and more private then most resorts in the immediate area. I would recommend renting a SUV with GPS however to get into town and save money on taking tours/sightseeing. However driving in Costa Rica should only be done during the day and by someone who is experienced. The restaurant at the resort is nice but pricey. I would recommend taking the 10 minute drive into town where they are a large selection of places to eat and better priced. Arenal Manoa is a place I would book again and again.
