“Great Honeymoon”
Everything about this place is fabulous. The outdoor jacuzzi tub and hammock were heavenly, as was the outside shower. Gorgeous views of Arenal Volcano, beautiful flora surrounding the gardens, awesome heated pool with wet bar. Service was excellent. Perfect honeymoon spot!
“Pure Vida”
The room was beautiful the staff was so helpful and welcoming. This will be our first choice when we return.
“The Arenal Nayara hotel exceeded our expectations.”
This hotel rates a "Wow". The rooms were super luxurious and super comfortable. My 16 year old daughter especially liked the experience of taking a hot bath on her balcony. The entire place demonstrates a high attention to detail. The front desk staff were quite attentive and helpful. This is a place I will definitely tell my friends about. We were sorry to leave!
“Search no longer, book this hotel.”
Trust us, book a room! Could not find anything to complain about. As nice as anywhere we have ever stayed. Next trip we will stay longer. Staff exceptional.
“Just got back from Nayara”
There are separate luxury cabins in the middle of a jungle - if you cannot sleep with all that bird and insect chaterring. The staff is great, very hepfull and always there. The restaurant Altamira is excellent: food, wine and staff. I don't recommend the Sushi Amor. The maids leave cute surprises in your room every day, but I will not spoil it for you. The spa is 5 stars or more! This is a great place for honeymooners or couples in general.
“The Highlight of our Trip to Costa Rica”
Nayara Hotel was fantastic. Everything you could ask for with the most friendly, attentive, bilingual staff you could imagine. Although we weren't there long the staff really bent over backwards to make sure our experience in Costa Rica was the best it could be. They arranged transfers to San Jose, arranged all of our activities, made suggestions and engaged us in friendly conversation when we looked like we needed help. When we had a chunk of the day after checking out with no room to stay in they even offered us a room for a few hours to relax in at no charge. Really couldn't have been more helpful. And we loved the wine bar!!
“Romantic hotel for young couples”
Nayara is a beautiful and romantic hotel for young couples. Our room was a private bungalow with wonderful view of the volanco, had an outside shower and jacuzzi and the interior had a wonderful bed and inside shower. Just note that the rooms do not have internet, but free internet is available in the lobby.
“Can't beat the room”
Great room. That being said, if you want a room with a VIEW of the Arenal volcano, make sure you confirm with the hotel that the view is not obstructed as it was in our room (room #1). Also, if you want to PEACEFULLY relax on your deck while in the hammock or the hot tub, make sure you get a room AWAY from the pool. Service was great, although slightly impersonal, throughout the hotel. The food ranged from good to very good, depending upon what you ordered. Outdoor shower was really nice. Overall, a really nice place to stay. Prior to staying at Nayara, we stayed at El Silencio del Campo, which was significantly less expensive. El Silencio was more casual (more of a "cabin" atmosphere), but the service was excellent (and more genuine). El Silencio also has it's own hot spring, which was great (and free of charge). So if your staying in the Arenal region for 5 nights or more and you're on somewhat of a budget (but still want to splurge at some point), do what we did in this order: 3 nights at El Silencio and 2 nights at Nayara.
“Must-see, unique experience!!”
This hotel was fantastic!! The service was superb!! The staff is so helpful and genuinely friendly!! It is a small hotel 40 something rooms or casitas total so it is very intimate. The majority of couples are on their honeymoon. The only thing we wished there was more night entertainment. We went into the town once and it was fun and safe. When we got there we took a shuttle to the hotel it was about three hrs. The shuttle we got was bumpy but eventually we got there and it was worth it. We left from New York and it was a lot of hours of travel for only 5 nights that we were there . We regreted that we didn't stay in Costa Rica enough days. Many of the couples went to Nayara for three or four days and then stayed a few days by one of the beaches. We wished we would've known this beforehand. Just because its so much travel to get there. However the hotel could not be more romantic. We did a romantic dinner for my birthday and it was so beautiful!! Definitely recommend it for special occasions-anniversaries, act. Activities wise I recommend the volcano national park of course and the cascada !! We weren't really impressed with the Eco-termales (hot springs). And many activities you can do them on your own and its a lot cheaper!!
