There are better value nearbyPosted May 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed for 2 nights in 2 different hotels in the area. The other hotel was less expensive and better value. This hotel was good but just the comparison with the other hotel affected my rating.

Lovely view of Arenal Volcano....when viewablePosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: The cleanliness of the rooms and the beautiful view of Arenal!
Cons: The management for the restaurant and the front desk.
Location: We had to take cabs for everything but the Wave White Water Expedition trip. It was 18 dollars to Tabacon(fantastic place to visit for the day.)
Hotel didn't have a lobby....not very appealing. From the beginning the girl at the desk was NOT helpful. I think there was quite a communication barrier and knew nothing about trips that were available. It was obvious that she had not taken any herself! (There was a guy who helped us though after we were frustrated!) The restaurant was very very mediocre....the first day we were there we wanted to eat something....they said "we only have sandwiches and when we said we would have turkey, they brought us ham and cheese. Then about 15 minutes later they served a typical Costa Rican lunch to people on a tour bus!
