This place is in the middle of busy intersection. Very very noisy till early hrs in the morning and pool was not cleaned for a month. Will not stay here again for sure. No elevator either .

Hotel Arenal Jireh is the worst hotel we have stayed in. Our stay at the hotel was miserable. The hotel is stripped. The towels are paper thin. They should be used to wipe the floor. My children and I slept with no covers as the sheets smelled like urine. No telephones in the rooms. You cannot communicate with the front desk should you need anything. No TV. The neighbors around the hotel have roosters that didn't allow us to sleep all night. Terrible stay!!

excellent budget location in downtown La FortunaPosted Jan 24, 2012 on Hotels.com
nice location, the hotel is a bit on the budget side. Pool was not heated at the days we were there, but we did not mind as there was just too much to do around. The breakfast was included, and it was a basic Costa Rica breakfast, but a reasonable one. They have a nice secure parking spot. You can see the volcano right from some rooms.

Hotel jirehPosted Dec 31, 2011 on Hotels.com
A cute boutique hotel. It has a lot if charm. The staff was attentive and helpful. Centered in town it was easy to get to sites & restaurants. A very reasonable price and a nice stay. The lava lounge is across the street, a very yummy restaurant. Plus great views of the volcano from third floor.

Hotel Jireh in La Fortuna - good view of volcanoPosted Apr 25, 2011 on Hotels.com
We made reservation for Hotel Jireh but actually stayed at another hotel around the corner. Guess they were overbooked due to local Easter week holiday. Room was clean and had nice bathroom with large shower. Location was great. Pool was small but nice. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Had to drive a few kilometers to see volcano. Typical american or costa rican breakfast. Would stay here again.

Pool out of service without notification, breakfast late, very noisyPosted Apr 8, 2011
While the staff was friendly enough, we were surprised to find the the pool was empty. We were told it would be filled the next day, but it wasn't, so out of luck on that one. This should have been mentioned on the hotel's site. Further breakfast was officially available at 7:00, but not really until closer to 7:30, giving us 5 minutes to gulp down something before our 7:30 pickup. The noise from the street requires earplugs to be able to even consider sleeping. Reasonable clean, however.
