I love this hotel, it has great view of Arenal vulcano and very friendly and helpfull staff : Manrique and Mercedes

“Great Location and Friendly Reception”

Excellent location if you do not have a vehicle and want to walk around town - or like us, would prefer to park it in the lot and not drive much! Although the hotel was slow (or failed) to respond to questions emailed prior to arrival, once there, the reception was more than fantastic! Particularly, Mercedes was wonderful in arranging tours and providing advice for where to eat, and they were very friendly in the restaurant, as well. Free wi-fi, and overall, an excellent value!

“Best value!”

Perfect location,some room have a great view of the volcan,we were at the fith floor with a small balconi it was perfect. Each floor have a mini frig and coffe maker to sare wich is a plus. The only negative point ,the hotel have no sign if you arrive at night it will be hard to find.by chance i remember how the hotel look like on expedia picture.but a great value we recomend it.

“Best in Fortuna town”

Great view of the volcano from our room. After spending 7days in Fortuna I can say this is the best hotel in the city. This hotel is located just a few miles from many of the areas attractions. Make sure to shop at the fruit store across the street. They have cheep fresh fruit and will cut up the pineapple for you. ThEy also sell water and soft drinks.

“Great Staff and Great Views”

When we arrived, the desk clerk, Mercedes was very pleasant and accomodating. She had our paperwork prepared and room assigned prior to our arrival, so check-in was very quick. She explained all of the ammenities and services the hotel offered and excorted us to the room. The room was spotless with a beautiful view of the town of La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano, which is the major attraction of the area. In the morning, Mercedes was there serving a wonderful breakfast of fresh fruit, eggs and toast, with fresh juice and the most wonderful coffee. Check out was seamlss, and Mercedes was her pleasant self welcoming us back any time, which, of course, we will.

“Great hotel for a budget traveler”

Great stay for a budget traveler in the heart of La Fortuna within close proximity to all of Arenal's attractions. We were most impressed with Manrique - the front desk worker. Went out of his way to accommodate us during our stay. If you get the chance, work with him and you will be in good hands.

“English spoken, near everything, views of volcano”

The volcano view was superb...hotel is two blocks from the park, grocery story, tourist information center, laundry across the street, and bus station...You can get to San Jose for less than $5 by direct bus. There is a great Italian restaurant at the end of the block although we were pleasantly pleased with the dinners at the hotel. The staff is exceptionally helpful and the morning breakfast was always served along with a beautiful smile to start the day. After staying at Tabacon, I returned here as if I were coming back home...everyone was so happy to see me unexpectedly. The computers in the lobby make it so easy to stay in touch with home and to make further travel plans. The staff at the hotel were very knowledgeable about the area and they spoke perfect English. They arranged taxi so that you wouldn't be taken for a ride...over charged!

“Very comfortable, clean hotel”

This is a small, very clean, comfortable but not luxurious hotel. It is perfect for simple people who are enjoying most of the day outside, because although it is not beautiful, it is very comfortable-good beds, air conditioning and a great shower! It is located in the center of the town of Fortuna, and the Italian Restaurant in the corner es superb!

“Great, clean and cheap hotel in La Fortuna.”

Nice clean and large room. Good view on the volcano and on La Fortuna. Loud music/bar close to the hotel. Very friendly staff. Great restaurant just steps away from the hotel. Breakfast was poor.

“Basic hotel with nice view of volcan Arenal”

Very basic rooms, no chair. Even the hotel sign outside was missing so it was not easy to find. Some rooms had no outside windows, WiFi worked. Breakfast was very basic, but a good choice when you are on diet. However if you are lucky you can get a room with a nice view of volcan Arenal.
