Small resort with pool and larger warm 'hot spring' water pool with swim up bar. Great views of Arenal when no fog/clouds around. Easy to get around, though not flat. Each room is it's own building. Room was basic without a lot luggage space. Bath was fine with hot shower and small sink. Covered balcony/patio on back of each facing Arenal. Breakfast was quick with 4-5 options from Omelet to Pancakes and was offered at your choice of 7-8am or 8-9. Dinner was good with reasonable prices and we ate there both nights. Road sign can be hard to notice. Though google maps worked well.

Wonderful views of the volcano from the casitas, pool and restaurant, privacy, excellent, breakfast and coffee every morning, the friendliest staff, who really went above and beyond for me. Great location if you don’t want to be right downtown but want to be close enough. Not walkable to town but easy to take an affordable Uber as long as you don’t stay out too late. Ubers will stop running!

Great views and ok enough hotel for the price. However, two very bad things for us where that 1. the hot springs at the hotel were green and disgusting, we didn't went in (visited others in the same area with clear water and clean pools) and 2. We were on vacation, we wanted to relax, not do alarms and early runing around, so our breakfast was included, we got to the restaurant at 8:30 am (the fact that we didnt want an early morning does not mean we spleep until noon) and the guy at kitchen told us they were closing at 8:40 so very sorry for us but no breakfast service, and indeed we were serve none. Not the type of service and treatment you will expect at a retreat hotel where the only reason they get people in is vacations.

The best hotel we could’ve hoped for. Every room has a view of Arenal Volcano, as do the restaurant and pools area. The best part was having a hot spring in the property and getting to use it every day after excursions. It was also great to soak in a hot spring while using the pool. Service was great and everyone was friendly. I would definitely go back!

A must stay! The entire staff was stellar. When we arrived the service for the entire stay operated a high level. The restaurant provided high quality food and service. The pools were clean and we loved the on property Thermal pool. Estrella, Marianna, Kevin, Ryan, Felipe, Keylor and Randall are staff you must meet on your stay. Wi-Fi is available and reliable! The only thing that I would recommend is brush up on your Spanish because satellite tv is provided, but in Spanish which tested my skills (lol). A plus is from any location on the property you have a spectacular view of Arenal volcano, especially in the morning for breakfast and at sunset for dinner. I would definitely recommend this hidden jewel!

Beautiful property in a beautiful area. The little casitas were not the most comfortable however the location, service, on-site hot springs and great views more than compensated. The on-site restaurant served good food and had a very relaxing atmosphere.

The views were amazing. In the AM there were a myriad of birds flying around and singing. Hummingbirds were everywhere as well as parrots and many others. Drinks and food were reasonable and good quality. Villa was spacious. One of the best values i have ever seen.

Very nice property. Only a few cabins which provides a nice secluded feel. We had some trouble with the AC upon arrival, but manager worked diligently to get a repairman out in a couple of hours.

The lights in the room could’ve been a little bit better as it was hard to see at night time. Also there’s a lot of restrictions regarding guests. The gardens around our unit were very beautiful, and the cabinet was very comfortable

We loved the location, views and privacy of this hotel! We could see the volcano from our room, the pool & hot spring pool were great and never busy and the staff were SO nice and helpful. The front desk booked all our excursions/ activities for us and sent us the confirmation through whats app. We loved how the drinks and food are charged to a tab to be paid upon check out. The only negative about this hotel is that the rooms are a little outdated. The beds were small and not comfy. Otherwise, the hotel is clean, has free parking, fresh towels, and is a close 10 min drive to La Fortuna.

The staff at Miradas Arenal Hotel & Hotsprings were very accommodating and friendly. Kevin, Mariet, Randle, and Feilipe were excellent and attentive. They always made sure that I was comfortable and getting the most out of my Arenal/La Fortuna experience. They helped me find the best ATV touring company, birdwatching company, and zip lining company. The breakfast was brilliant and both choices were tasty and healthy. I really felt appreciated and part of the family after awhile. They even upgraded my bungalow when a leak was found in my old one. The only upgrade I'd suggest would be to some minor cosmetic details of the property, but these were minor. Overall great place, great staff, and they really make you feel appreciated when you're there.

We stayed at a few properties in the area, 3 to be exact, 1 of which was the nicest (and thus most expensive) in this region. For a more budget friendly option, this hotel is great. Much better than another one we stayed at for about ten bucks more per night. The AC was nice, there was a parking spot right in front for each building (each guest room is in its own building). And the shower was large. The breakfast was nice, and the bar and hot spring pool were lovely. We are people that are very susceptible to bug bites and the window to the shower was structurally very dodgy, and cracks on the edges of where the glass meets the window frame. Also for what its worth, the doors are entry by key (not keycard) which can be annoying late at night, when there are big bugs flying around.

Fantastic location
It was a beautiful location between Arenal and LaFortuna with a view of the volcano. There are bungalows surrounded by beautiful flowers and gardens. The hot springs and pool were such a welcome treat. Even have a swim up bar. Highly recommend this spot.

Superb find near La Fortuna
Small but comfortable individual bungalows with excellent view of volcano and birds on the grounds - even a toucan helping itself to bananas right off the tree. Great hot and cold pools. Helpful, friendly staff. Better value for money than most of the “fancy” hotels around La Fortuna.

We had a wonderful cabina, it was clean, great AC and nice bed. A towel rack and toilet paper holder would have been nice. We were able to use the Hot spring pool only once, a bit of a sad note, because they had drained it for cleaning which is understandable, but we stayed there for the Hotspring.

Our stay here was amazing. Such friendly and helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was really good and the drinks at the pool bar were excellent! The cabinas were very clean and comfortable. The private deck provided a wonderful start to the day listening to and watching all the birds gather in the nearby trees.
