First class hotel and resort

Posted Sep 14, 2014
The hotel and resort were more than I ever expected. The master suite we stayed in was beautiful and the thermal heated pools, jacuzzi and sauna were amazing. The bars were excellent and the hotel restaurant food and service were fantastic. Concierge service setting up tours was extremely efficient and effortless. Truly made our vacation even more memorable.

convenient location for activities

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: My mother especially liked that it was a small hotel so everything was easily accessible. It was a comfortable hotel, felt like home.
Cons: the bathroom sink sits too high. We had to tiptoe to wash our faces. There is no space to rest cosmetics, there needs to be a separate dressing table
Location: it is not near town but not inconvenient as we were off property for activities daily. There are tons of exciting tours and they pick up at the hotel
Check in was a breeze. As there is a security gate, they radioed our names to the front desk and they were ready for us. It is a cosy, intimate hotel. The rooms are just slightly bigger than standard size with all balconies overlooking the pool area and with views of Arenal volcano. Every evening, complimentary desserts were delivered to our rooms. Great touch. The property is small, so if you like lots of gardens and space, this is not for you. The main pool with swim up bar is warmed by hot springs and there are 2 other pools that run parallel to it. One is cool water, which will you need on a hot day to refresh, then alternate back to the main pool. There are also jacuzzis that are more private and a sauna. There is only one restaurant and small bar.

MOLD AND OLD

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: We left
Cons: Customer service and conditions of the rooms needed some serious TLC. Cleanliness was an issue.
I decided to leave the hotel because of the lack in conditions. Mold in both rooms. Not a fan at all. The staff was pleasant but not overly nice. They did not make us feel good. The Baldi across the street was amazing.

Memorable experience!

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Landscaping, swim up bar, multiple hot-spring whirlpools, fruit selection during breakfast, staff friendliness.
Cons: The rooms could be cleaner. One of our friends found mold in their room and we found some hairs in the bathroom the first day we arrived.
From the time you get to the hotel everyone makes you feel welcomed. The swim up bar staff is very friendly, the hotel staff always took the time to answer our questions (of find the answers for us) and the facilities were well kept. The rainfall shower in the room is fantastic! The included breakfast is very good and changes daily with typical dishes and fresh local fruits. The pools are fed by natural hot springs so a good tip is to go to the poolside bathrooms and shower before you go to your room or your swimwear will have a unique sulfuric scent.

Vacation in the rain forest

Posted Jul 19, 2014
The hotel rooms were exceptionally clean & comfortable with very nice amenities such as bedding/furniture, etc. The hotel staff was very nice and they provided excellent customer service. The hotel is located approximately 8-10 mins from LaFortuna so it does require a taxi ride into town. Hotel has only one restaurant and no gift shop for incidentals. This hotel is probably more age appropriate for older teens & adults as there were no activities for small children.

Amazing, Fabulous place !!

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Location,5 Star facility & pampering, Nature, Views, Closer to Volcano & very close to downtown, Great people & Service !!!
Cons: All perfect..
Location: Great Restaurants & excursions nearby. We went to La Parada & Lava Lounge- prob the most happening Restaurant in town.. Was amazing food & atmosphere.
We had a great time. Both Carolinas (Front office & reservation) at hotel were v nice. As requested, we got a Volcano view 4th floor paradise with gigantic balcony. Breakfast in Garden Restaurant was great in morning. Greenery, Rain, Wild birds, nature was at it's best. Loved the complimentary Thermal baths !! Special thanks to Maikol, night restaurant Mgr... Sat night we went out to town to eat but electricity went out in whole town & all restaurants closed. We returned back to hotel & Maikol was kind enough to make a pizza even though restaurant had closed !! Such great service is unheard off nowadays.
