“Very nice hotel”

very nice hotel, friendly staff, very close to down town, nice hot top and swimming pool.

“Incredible value!”

We were extremely pleased with our stay and Poco A Poco! We were warned that in the cloud forest afternoons and evenings had the potential to be rainy ones, and the hotel was prepared for it! Sheltered heated pool and whirlpool, DVDs for complimentary use, great television, and the hotel's own restaurant had the best food of our trip! We ended up eating almost every meal there and even wished we had eaten there instead of the restaurants we tried in St Elena. Turned out we didn't need all the indoor entertainment because we were lucky enough to have fabulous weather for all but the first evening. The only marginally negative comment is that the room was the smallest on our trip, but it was well appointed with everything we needed including different lighting options to suit our needs. The shower was nice and big with plenty of hot water and good pressure! Daniel also hired the BEST guide to take us hiking.

“Beautiful Room for a Great Price”

This hotel was awesome! I love the jacuzzi and the pool. They also have a spa which was great! The breakfast was delicious and our room had a very comfortable bed with a television, a really nice bathroom, and a safe. You also get to choose 2 free movies to watch while you're there. The balcony had an amazing view of the sunset, and the room had a lot of windows which I love. There is no wifi in the rooms, but there is a good signal in the lobby and also in the restaurant. The hotel is in close walking distance to the main part of town so you can walk to other restaurants and cafes to get food, too. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel! A beautiful room with everything you need in a great location for a great price.

“Small but good!”

As the name would suggest, it's small but it really has great features including a swim-up bar and an excellent restaurant.(Really good food) Staff are very friendly and helpful.

“Eco Freindly Boutique”

Although, we only had 1 night here, it was a very restful and enjoyable stay at this Eco friendly hotel. The hotel and restaurant staff were super friendly and helpful. It is only a short walk to the center of Santa Elana.

“Good Choice”

Good location for visiting Monteverde area. In the city, close to supermarket and bank + walking distance from restaurants and coffees. Very helpfull staff with excellent English (best I have heard in Costa Rica)

“Poco a poco nice for the area”

Very friendly staff. Some bugs un the rooms because windows were open but not a big deal. Good breakfast.

“Don't Order the Fish!”

Hotel was well located and modern by Costa Rica standards. The breakfast that was included was of good quality and portions. Our only complaint was that one of our party had a horrible fish dinner at the restaurant (which is not inexpensive). We complained to the front desk afterward, but nothing was done to accommodate. We felt they should have credited her dinner from the bill. Otherwise, our visit was pleasant.

“Good, but not great.”

No a/c in the room, but you can ask for a fan. Parking lot is very small. Let music at the pool go until 10:30, which I thought was late. My wife hated this place. She thought it was really dirty. I thought it was fine.

“Great choice”

We enjoyed Hotel Poco a Poco very much. It's in a good location, in good condition, and has great service. The included breakfast was excellent too. If you want to have a less noisy room I suggest you request a room away from the road and on a higher floor, although there aren't any elevators (at least that I saw). It's a little pricey for mid-range hotels in Costa Rica, but then Monte Verde is a pricey area, so overall it was a good value. It was also great having a warm pool and hot tub, as Monteverde can get very chilly. Overall a great place which I recommend highly.
