Perfect mountain retreat.Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The lush surroundings and the very helpful staff who always wanted to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.
Location: Easy to get cab to/from town. Easy to get food delivery in the evenings.
Wanted a quiet stay in the mountains near town. This was more than we hoped for! Staff excellent, breakfast pleasing, easy 10 minute cab ride to town. Would have had excellent views of volcano except for the rain those days. Cabins arranged for privacy/ good views surrounded by beautiful lush landscaping. Rooms simple yet comfortable - AC was fantastic!

A very relaxing atmosphere !Posted Feb 12, 2014
Pros: The outdoors, relaxing, and mother nature.
Cons: To have the restaurant open for three meals. However, they are working on it!
Location: In about 10 minutes driving you can reach La Fortuna, there are plenty of restaurants, shops tours there etc..
We were stationed in San Jose but spent three days in KOKORO Resort! It has beautiful trees and flowers, you will hear the signing of the birds with a beautiful view of the Volcano Arenal. Be sure not to miss the changing colors of volcano at sun set! We had a nice daily breakfast -- Chef Ailan informed us of the future opening of the Casa Bamboo restaurant. Got to taste some of his culinary dishes in a requested evening meal and some of the most delicious and nutritious mini-rolls. The private cottages were well decorated and very clean. The hot spring pool was wonderful. The staff were friendly and tried their best to help us.

Beautiful locationPosted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Location and staff
Location: Beautiful location, quiet and secluded. Hot springs, zip lines, rainforest and parks all close by.
Lovely hot springs and pool. The service staff were all friendly & very helpful. The personnel at the reception area went out of their way to be helpful and courteous. We had a very relaxing experience with many sights within an easy driving distance.

Jungle retreatPosted Jan 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff was very friendly. The lobby felt very homey and lots of the guests hung out in the lobby which is an open seated area with a feel that you are sitting in the middle of the jungle. Flowers and birds all around. The rooms are like your own little cottage, clean and rustic. It feels like a getaway rather than just another hotel stay. Jessica was especially customer service oriented and friendly and she went out of her way for us. Thank you Jessica!

Best hotel in the area!Posted Jan 11, 2014
Pros: Wonderful location close to town, but enjoyable quiet, large gardens for peaceful experience. Huge comfortable room. Would definitely stay here again
Location: Close to Arenal volcano, hot springs, great restaurants in town. 20 minute drive to Proyecto Asis - Very worthwhile activity
We totally loved our stay here! Beautiful setting close to everything! The rooms are fantastic. Staff are great, and breakfast was superb! So much to do in the area, so don't rush it, as we did. Will be back here for sure!

Very Nice HotelPosted Jan 10, 2014
This property is family owned and operated. The overall decor is tropical in design and well maintained. Rooms are villa style, spread over the property which is very lush. Breakfast buffet was included in the ate and was very tasty and varied. Personnel were extremely friendly and helpful.

Did not fix the air conditioningPosted Jan 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
My family stayed in cabin 1 for 2 nights. Soon after we checked in, I reported a malfunctioning a/c in the room. Despite promises to fix it, it was not fixed for our entire stay making staying in the room uncomfortable. Needless to say, this is not something one would expect at a hotel at this price level. I would not recommend staying at this hotel given our experience.

Very nice hotelPosted Jan 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
We just returned from our Costa Rican vacation, having spent one night at Kokoro Arenal. The hotel was located on beautiful grounds and the staff was very pleasant and helpful with directions and suggesting activities. I would stay here again.

Visiting La FortunaPosted Dec 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was great and the hotel was excellent except for the bathroom and shower area that had room for improvement. Hotel staff and very friendly and helpful. Hotel's landscape and furniture are beautiful and completely match the rain forest spirit.
