Wonderful settingPosted Aug 13, 2013
We stayed here after staying at a much more expensive hotel in la fortuna. Lomas was wonderful!! We wished we would have stayed here longer!! The setting is beautiful, staff friendly and helpful, food was excellent and our little bungalow was very nice! Everything was clean and comfortable the bathroom was huge and very nice and the VIEW of the volcano was magnificent!! And its off the beaten path and more private than the main tourist area in la fortuna!!

Great choice for ArenalPosted Aug 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Definitely stay there if you are looking for a medium priced hotel. We had a rental car and I would also recommend that so that you don't depend on pick up times from local tour operators.

Private and beutiful HotelPosted Aug 9, 2013
Pros: Grounds, Hot tub and Pool area. Cabins are excellent.
Cons: The Maid could wait to do the cleaning when the room is empty after check out not in the morning while the guests are having breakfast.
The hotel has awesome grounds, balcony in the back of the cabins with nice views of the nature, birds and wild life. The volcano was covered during my stay but I can imagine how wonderful the views could be. I really recommend this place to anyone but specialy for couples. We really enjoyed the privacy of our cabin and our stay was wonderful.

Great locationPosted Aug 6, 2013
Great location perfect view of Arenal Volcano. The style and character of the rooms match the setting perfectly. The advice and booking of tours was excellent.

Pleasantly surprisedPosted Jul 30, 2013
Location: La Fortuna dining and shopping only 4 km away. Arenal Volcano 11 km away.
Pleasantly surprised by facilities and friendliness/responsiveness of staff. Beautiful surroundings, including wildlife. Arrived after hours due to weather, but accommodated us including extending free breakfast hours the next morning. Staff was very friendly and attentive to ours needs while onsite as well, especially in restaurant. Would certainly stay at this location again.

Great hotel for views of ArenalPosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
One of the best hotels in the area (certainly one of the more affordable) for views of Arenal. Rooms are in individual cottages, which is nice for privacy and space. Try to get a cottage with a balcony facing the volcano, not other cottages. The only thing they're missing are on-site hot springs, but for what you save you can pay to go to many of the hot springs. Meals were very good, and prices very reasonable (breakfast buffet is included). You will want a rental car if you're staying here, as it's a few miles from town, including a long dirt road from the main road to the hotel.

It was a very beautiful area, there was a perfect view of the volcano when the clouds aloud it!!! The staff was all very polite and helpful, especially since we speak limited Spanish. The only downfall was we could not get WiFi in our room it was to far from the Hotel office. It was close to all of the tourist attractions, but yet a private peaceful setting!

Adventure honeymoonPosted Jul 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel: fancy and beautiful! I can't think of one thing wrong with the hotel, it was magnificent! If I had it to do over, I'd spend 2 days (instead of 3) in Arenal. The city itself is geared towards tourist and everyone wants to sell you something. There's not much to do in the city itself, except for adventure type activities, so if you're looking to just hang out and relax, this is not the city for you.

Super helpful people at the desk. Very comfortable and location can't be beat. The best part for us was the remote feel to the cabins and yet it was a few minutes walking to the center of the town.
