First time in La Fortuna. Loved the pictures of the property advertising the Lost Iguana especially the view from the balcony. Our room did not disappoint. The restaurant and the spa were great. Hiking trail on the property was fun. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Amazing stay in the middle of the jungle! The resort is absolutely beautiful with top notch amenities and wonderful staff available. The service was spot on! The views of the volcano were breathtaking. We hiked the trail-a great feature!

We spent 2 nights in Lost Iguana. We had a good time, but we didn't spend too much time in the resort. We did many excursions in which they helped us book. The reception was very nice and accommodating. In the middle of our first night our electricity went out. But besides that, the view and the accommodation was beautiful. Be sure to bring bug repellent. Bonus: delicious coffee!

I found the property wonderful all staff were well trained polite and easy going. The sounds were fantastic and as if we were staying in the jungle, only with room service and a spa. Perfect in every way.

The resort has beautiful grounds. Room was average well at least ours. We had a standard room which was very dark. Room could use more lighting than the 1 tiny light lamp and dim ceiling fan light. Also could be better to help block the gaps under the doors to prevent the number of bugs that get into the room. The staff was nice and the breakfast buffet was good. Nice walking trails. You need a car as this place is not walkable.

Lost Iguana is set up on a hill in the middle of the rain forest. They do a perfect job of blending comfort with the natural surroundings. The hot pool and cool pool are great. The servers and the bartenders are excellent.

This place is really lovely. All rooms have a view of arenal volcano. The staff were very nice and rooms clean. If you are booking activities, would recommend looking outside of the hotel. I was on a hike/lunch and the people reported paying half what the hotel charged. Might not always be the case, but if you have time look elsewhere. Otherwise great stay!

The property is stunning! We loved exploring the hiking trails, watching the different animals and birds, and swimming in the heated pool. The staff were amazing and set us up with various tours and transportation anywhere we wanted to go. And I can’t say enough about the food. Everything we had was delicious!

The lost iguana was one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. The grounds were stunning being right in the middle of the lush jungle. The rooms were a great size and very clean and quiet. The staff were so friendly and comfortable to be around. The food was excellent and a decent price. If I could have stayed my whole trip there, I would have.

It was a bit outside the central part of LaFortuna but SO worth it !!! Beautiful grounds with great staff. We loved waking the Puma trail on the property! The view from our balcony was amazing! We could see the Volcano directly in front of us!

I stayed in Room 22, a standard first-floor double, offered basic accommodations but requires significant upgrading. Single ceiling fan light provided limited illumination, and the air conditioning was unfortunately inoperable. The room's electrical outlets were scarce, likely reflecting its pre-digital era construction (1970s estimate). While the single bamboo chair offered a touch of character, its bulk and noise might not suit all guests. Similarly, the decorative animal sculptures on the TV shelf, while whimsical, occupied valuable space that could be better utilized for guest belongings, given the lack of a desk. Replacing the double balcony door would greatly improve functionality, as its missing handle and latch prevent proper closure and invite unwanted insects. Overall, while functional, Room 22 could benefit from significant modernization to enhance guest comfort and convenience. For now, STAY AWAY from this hotel. Though I paid around $450 per night for Room 22, its amenities and condition suggest it would be priced closer to $90 in the US.

The property is situated in a beautiful lot of land with trails, diverse flora and fauna and very quiet. Friendly staff made our stay even more welcome as our original reservation was later changed, but the hotel made up for it big time. Super recommended if you are looking for nature walks and a pristine property close to pretty much all of the outside tours and activity.

Property is beautiful and tucked away in the rainforest. Beautiful view of arenal volcano from the balcony. Rooms have dehumidifiers and AC so it was comfortable with extra blankets in the closet. Staff were wonderful and kind. They retrieved my fiance’s hat when he left it in a tour van and also helped us make dinner reservations/tour reservations. Would definitely return.
