Valentine's Day Get Away!!!Posted Feb 16, 2015
There's is no better way to spend Valentine's Day than at this tropical paradise. With a breathtaking view of the Arenal Volcano we found this hotel a serene setting to get away. A dip in the hot spring, covering yourself in volcano mud and follow it up with a couples massage and you are ready for all of the adventures Fortuna has to offer. Ziplining, rafting, horseback riding and rappelling all set up by the hotel at a discounted rate from the big tour companies. The grounds were beautiful and lush and if you looked closely you just might spy some of Costa Rica's wildlife.

Probably the best view in Arenal!!!Posted Jan 12, 2015
This hotel is pure paradise. We had an amazing time here. We had a cottage facing the Volcano and the valley...just breathtaking!!! They serve great breakfast every morning. Hotel staffs are super friendly and they always went out of their way to help us. They have a great dinner and lunch menu...5 star quality food. We did all our tours with them. They gave us our own private guide for most tours. We enjoyed it very much. We also used their spa...had the best Swedish massage for only $50 for an hour. They also have free hot springs-volcanic mud and a beautiful pool and dive up bar. I can't say enough good things about this place!!!

good hot springsPosted Dec 26, 2014
Upon arrival the room we were placed in was very very wet and there was no Internet , however, when we informed the staff this was handled beautifully and they upgraded our room at no extra cost. Very nice staff. The breakfast was included and was very good . Fresh omlets made on the spot! Internet in the restaurant and in the reception. The upgraded room was nice . Clean , and a good location . The pools were nice and overall a good experience!

Great spot near Arenal volcanoPosted Dec 11, 2014
Location: Visit other hot springs, go for a hike (not for folks who aren't active), see the waterfalls.
We got to the hotel really late at night (day travel is probably best), but they were very accommodating. The spa and pool/mud/hot spring area were lovely. The breakfast each morning was great -- I am vegan and had no problems with eating here. Bryan, who works in reception, was amazingly helpful.

Very relaxingPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The hotel is on the main hwy and very easy to access. Every Room has view of the mountain
Cons: Providing microwave in the cottages and LED TV's.
Location: There are many fun activities we can do in Cost Rica. Each hotel has their own / sister travel agencies, they push their own activities.
To have a relaxed vaction this hotel is best. Every Room has view of the mountain. WiFi is only available at front desk. Even though they have Wifi allover the facility they dont provide you password. We enjoyed our stay. No lunch and dinner options for Vegetarians.

We were completely amazed at the beauty that was montaña de fuego, the location was great, the hot springs very nice, and the breakfast buffet was terrific. We couldn't have asked for a better place at such a great price

Looks nice on line, but not in realityPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: The location, pool area, and garden.
Cons: Quality of the lodges and food.
Location: The hotel was a short drive to the small township of Fortuna.
We were disappointed with this hotel. It was quite old and not maintained. The parking space near the lodges was so narrow a visitor drove into a ditch to avoid hitting another vehicle. The only internet access was at the reception area. The breakfast was average...mostly local cuisine. The great part about this hotel and location was the view of the volcano...spectacular.

Great for Romantic Getaway!Posted Jun 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
It is very luxurious and beautiful place. Service was great. The only thing that I recommend to improve is to make all rooms have wifi. It is an inconvenience to have to go to the lobby or restaurant to use wifi. Oh one more thing, the restaurant food was not that spectacular it was better to eat ouside.

Staff is not on the ballPosted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: The room we had opened to the volcano, and on a clear day we could see it. But the hotel didn't provide the view, we paid for it.
Cons: Housekeeping;(one day towels were taken but not replaced). Breakfast staff was still setting up at 7 when it is supposed to start at 6:30
Location: Take day trips, a lot of them available. Cano Negro boattrip seemed fake as I think they feed the animals so they know where to spot them....
On checking in, we asked for some beverages (room service). The reply was it will be $7.00 per soda because they were bringing it to the room. No room service menus. They gave us bracelets so that they could determine if we were "breakfast only" or "full service" guests. Then, to add insult to injury, the bell boy hand wrote the contents of the minibar. The town was 8km away and it cost $14.00 one way just to get to a restaurant. The food at the hotel was tasteless and exorbitantly priced.....WiFi available only in lobby and restaurant.....not in room, even though it said free wifi and breakfast. A caveat! The staff member who checked us treated us like we were idiots.
