“Best Hotel in Arenal”

Best hotel in Arenal! Hotel has amazing customer service, greeted with a welcome drink and room was ready before check-in time. Beautiful grounds with small bungalows spread throughout. Very large room with gorgeous bed surrounded by mosquito netting, large flat screen tv, automatic lights, iPod dock and table and chairs. Bathroom was amazing with two showers, one regular and one which was designed with rocks and plants which is a waterfall. Private patio had own garden area with beautiful plants, rocking chairs and private outdoor jacuzzi with a view of the volcano.

hotel is beautiful, you are surrounded by tropical vegetation. Rooms are fantasic, and volcano view - priceless! Transportation and trips are reliable and well organized. If you go there in green season, take morning trips! use to rain in the afternoon. Very good and not expensive(!) SPA - I recommend chocolate wrap. The restaurant has good food but is pricy, but at the wet bar they have good cheap snacks. It's a very nice gateway for couples, very romantic!

“Gorgeous hotel”

Hotel Mountain Paradise is a hidden gem. We absolutely enjoyed our stay during a recent vacation to La Fortuna. The hotel is beautifully designed, quiet, exceptionally clean, close to both Arenal and La Fortuna, and certainly an excellent value for the price. The quality of the rooms was a surprise - even after seeing photos online. The bathrooms are unbelievable, the bedrooms are beautiful with everything you could need from a flat-screen TV to dimming lights, and the view of Arenal is breathtaking (although we couldn't see it from our patio, you can see it throughout the hotel grounds). The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The only drawback is the pricing in the restaurant (a little high). Other than that, our stay was fantastic.

“Gorgeous hotel, perfect stay”

When we arrived at Mountain Paradise Hotel, we were immediately greeted by warm, friendly staff, given moist towel to freshen up, and served some tropical juice. They let us do the check-in while sitting on the couch, which was a nice touch. The property is absolutely stunning. Most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed at. We were initially taken to our room in a golf cart, which was nice. It was a little tough to find our room again the second time, but once we figured it out, it was fine. Perhaps clearer signs would help. The breakfast was quite good (not the best ever, but still good), but the views were the best part. You have a perfect view of the volcano at breakfast, and at the pool. Our room also had its own jacuzzi, which I was not even expecting. However, we enjoyed the hotel pool so much (it's heated), that we didn't even need to use the private jacuzzi. Loved the swim-up bar at the hotel pool. It was an amazing experience overall. The hotel also helped us by booking a wonderful canopy tour with Arenal Mundo Aventura, and they booked our dinner at the Tabacon hot springs. It was all made very easy; we hadn't booked any of our excursions prior to arrival and it was no problem at all b/c the hotel took care of it for us. I highly recommend this hotel. The bathroom in our room was the most amazing bathroom-- it's HUGE, and you have two different showers, but we only used one of them b/c it is a waterfall! Lovely. Thank you!

“Great Relaxing Vacation”

We had one of the most relaxing and enjoyable times here, for example it rained the second night under the rain drops we sat in the heated pool at the swim up bar..... Staff was great, the grounds were very well kept, and the room was very clean. The food at the hotel was very good, but very expensive, it was alot cheaper to go into town (only 5 mins away). We will be returning!

“It really is paradise”

Mountain Paradise is a great place to stay. The service was great, we loved the bathroom with the waterfall, WOW. The restaurant is a little pricey, but the breakfast, which is included was veeerry good. How incredible everything is around the hotel as you walk, its wonderful. Overall it was more than we expected, and if we are ever in the area again I wouldn't think about it twice. We know where to stay.

“I loved the Mountain Paradise Hotel -- LOVED IT!”

I surprised my husband with a trip to Costa Rica for his 40th birthday, and our seven-night stay in the country started with three nights at the Mountain Paradise Hotel. As it was the least expensive hotel of the three we'd be staying with, I assumed it would be the least satisfying, and that was actually not the case at all. It turned out to be our favorite hotel of the three. The room was gorgeous, the bathroom included, the place felt very OF Costa Rica, the service was great, the food was great, the location was gorgeous, our view was amazing, we adored the swim-up pool and hammocks and landscaping -- I just can't say enough about the hotel. We will recommend it to everyone, and that's much more than we can say for our two other hotels. My only complaint is that I had asked that they have chocolate-covered strawberries and red wine waiting in the room when we arrived, and only the chocolate-covered strawberries were there. When I asked why the wine was missing, I was told they didn't know when I'd be getting in, and that seemed lame to me. Why couldn't a bottle of red wine with an opener just be left there? But really, that was minor. We loved this place and would go back in a heart beat. Long live the Mountain Paradise Hotel.

If you are going to see the volcano Arenal this is as a great place to stay. You have views of the volcano from throughout the property and the rooms are cottages which requires some uphill walking. It is a few minutes out of the way but considering the price difference and quality of the hotel it is a good value. The laundry was pricey but convenient as was the room service. The staff in the restaurant are very nice and eagerly pointed out a toucan one morning and the volcano puffing smoke the next. The breakfast was delicious and every day the talented cleaning staff would welcome you with a towel on each bed designed in the shape of an animal or heart. Nice touch.
