“Paradise”

Mountain Paradise Hotel has very friendly and accommodating staff. During our trip to CR we were sent an email from the Lodge informing us that a large suite (instead of two separate rooms) was available for the four of us. This is what we had originally wanted and they took the time to let us know. We were greeted at the reception door with warm towels and made to feel at home. Having the parking separate from the rooms makes it all that quieter at night. The dinner was very well presented and delicious. Breakfast was also varied, tasty, and unhurried. Free shuttles are available into town. We would definitely stay there again.

“Awesome hotel and great employees”

The staff was great. They went out of their way to meet our requests. Can't thank them enough. The food at the restaurant is really good but a bit pricy, but then again in what hotel aren't meals pricy. There's too much to write. Simply put, I was very happy with this hotel stay, would stay here again, worth your buck, and would recommend it.

“truly a mountain paradise!- great value”

stayed here for only one night with our family of 5( 3 teenage boys.) Located just a few minutes drive outside La Fortuna, very convenient to town and activities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool area was a plus- sitting on a hill and overlooking the volcano with beautifully landscaped grounds was just amazing. The pool,(actually multiple pools) while not an official "hotspring" was very warm and inviting with a swim up bar and waterfall, as well as a "cool" pool for dipping. The rooms were extremely large with a king and queen bed- we booked 2 premium suites which connected (it was actually like our own casita, although the hotel considers it a "room") and made it vwery convenient for our family. The bathroom had both a regular shower and a waterfall shower and gave the feeling of showering in a rainforest- nice! There was also a jacuzzi on our patio which we never had time to use because the pool was so nice. Our only negative was that the WiFi, which was free, often didnt work so well- they do have a computer in the lobby for guests to use however. The rate we got booking through Expedia was great and about 1/4 of what I would have expected to pay in the US for a hotel with similar amenities- would go back in a minute and would want to stay longer- we were driving around CR for a week and staying in various places....

“Good Destination Hotel”

Very nice, the staff was especially nice and helpful. Shuttle to town was very convenient. Can book side tours such as whitewater rafting, ziplining, and horseback riding through the hotel.

“Arenal Volcano Vacation”

Our stay at Mountain Paradise was very enjoyable and relaxing. The rooms were very clean, roomy, with nice features. We had a wonderful veiw of Arenal from the large patio doors. The wet bar was fun, and the bartender entertained us with excellant music and tasty drinks! I would recomment this resort!

“Quiet, green, lovely place.”

A quiet, more secluded place to stay; away from the business and touristy west coast of Costa Rica. So much to do in the area. Beautiful, private rooms. Wonderful!

“Paradise hotel for family”

Our cottage is like the name of the hotel: PARADISE. We absoutely enjoy the garden surrounding the cottages, the view from the various points on the property, and the swimming pool. The suite we have two bed rooms, and two bath-rooms (the master bath-room is huge and very interestingly decorated).

“perfect view”

hotel is beautiful, you are surrounded by tropical vegetation. Rooms are fantasic, and volcano view - priceless! Transportation and trips are reliable and well organized. If you go there in green season, take morning trips! use to rain in the afternoon. Very good and not expensive(!) SPA - I recommend chocolate wrap. The restaurant has good food but is pricy, but at the wet bar they have good cheap snacks. It's a very nice gateway for couples, very romantic!

“Gorgeous hotel”

Hotel Mountain Paradise is a hidden gem. We absolutely enjoyed our stay during a recent vacation to La Fortuna. The hotel is beautifully designed, quiet, exceptionally clean, close to both Arenal and La Fortuna, and certainly an excellent value for the price. The quality of the rooms was a surprise - even after seeing photos online. The bathrooms are unbelievable, the bedrooms are beautiful with everything you could need from a flat-screen TV to dimming lights, and the view of Arenal is breathtaking (although we couldn't see it from our patio, you can see it throughout the hotel grounds). The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The only drawback is the pricing in the restaurant (a little high). Other than that, our stay was fantastic.
