Nice! But be aware of the locationPosted Oct 24, 2013
The room was beautiful! Super spacious. Could use a small fridge tho. Because of the vegetation and gardens on the premises, bugs are expected. We sprayed bugspray at the door entrance and kept the ac on- it repelled insects inside our room. The biggest issue i had was that PRIOR to booking i was told the hotel had a shuttle into town and they provided a schedule. Upon arrival they denied the service bc it was low season. A cab ONE WAY into la Fortuna cost us $10! They did nothing to accomodate and the reception gal looked at me as if i had 3 heads when i asked. she spoke perfect english so she understood what i said. That was the damper bc i didnt realize how far it was from town. No busses available. Only taxi and it can get expensive! Otherwise great place to disconnect! The bartender Johan was excellent! Super great service. Food was delish! The restaurant and waiters were so nice. Awesome volcano view. They have a very well priced restaurant w great volcano view also in walking distance.

Better than expected.Posted Aug 28, 2013
Location: Private and a little hidden but well located to all nearby attractions.
We were pleasantly surprised to see how interesting and spacious the cabinas were. The bathrooms were amazing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I did not expect such luxurious accomodations. Fine rooms with covered patios and a jacuzzi surrounded by Costa Rican wildlife. Breakfast came with the room and it was very good. The staff were friendly and very helpful in planning events, as well as, our itinerary for the remainder of our travels in Costa Rica. We stayed in three different hotels and this was by far the best in quality and price.

Great hotel between La Fortuna and Volcan ArenalPosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: The location is great - near La Fortuna without being right downtown, and close the volcano and hot springs - and the (upgraded) rooms are giant.
Spent a fantastic few nights at the Mountain Paradise Hotel during the rainy season. We didn't get to see much of the volcano (rainy season) but the room was fabulous, breakfast was filling, and the employees were highly knowledgeable and helpful.

Great view of valcanoPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Location and Staff.
Cons: Nothing at this time.
Location: Lots to do. There for four days and did not get to do all that we wanted. Valcano hike, Baldi hot springs, Zip lines and hanging bridges were a few.
Wonderful staff and great food at premises. Not one problem with our stay. Would stay again.

A True Paradise!!Posted Jul 16, 2013
Pros: we liked everything. The Staff, the grounds, the room, the breakfast and the surrounding area. Go to Eco Termales hot springs!!
Cons: the only thing is that the staff could have been a little more knowledgable about the surrounding activities. But they were so nice and friendly.
Location: A few must does. Eco Termales hot springs. Incredible place. Arenal Volcano National Park and do the lava flow trail. And La Fortuna Waterfall.
The Mountain Paradise was exactly what it's name stated. A Paradise! Set in a beautiful rainforest setting with a breathtaking view of Arenal Volcano this hotel was everything we hope it would be. The people were extremely welcoming. The room was just wonderful, large and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing, the terrace was so private and it even had a whirlpool bath! The breakfast was so good and tasteful. We really have nothing but praise for this lovely hotel.

Beautiful views of Arenal VolcanoPosted Jul 10, 2013
Location: The hotel was very close to Arenal National Park, Ziplining (we recommend SkyWalk, Jorge and Milton were awesome instructors), and a multitude of hot
Our room was situated perfectly in La Fortuna to give us some amazing views of the volcano. The staff was very welcoming, and the room was very inviting with a rustic, Costa Rican feel. At the end of everyday it was nice to come back to such a nice retreat. The bar by the pool was a perfect place to grab a drink or two and unwind. I strongly suggest that you eat dinner in their on-site restaurant. The food was amazing. We were a little unsure whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. Service was a little slower than we were use to, but the servers were very nice. We would highly recommend Mountain Paradise Hotel to anyone visiting La Fortuna.

Great Hotel in Fortuna AreaPosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: Security, resturant, swim up bar with heated pool, jacuzzi on patio, comfy bed & cool bathroom.
Cons: Add a cheaper way to eat, quick food...tacos or nachos maybe.
Location: Town is just a short drive away. Went to the La Fortuna Waterfall . We did the hanging bridges which is just down the road. Spas are nearby.
My husband & I stayed 3 nights here at the beginning of our 8 day trip in Costa Rica. It was not that hard to find the hotel with GPS, I had also looked up other hotels down the same road before we left & knew to look for their signage( since people had mentioned it could be tricky to find.) Very nice property thats well maintained & secure. View of Volcano is awesome!! We had a room with the jacuzzi on the patio which was very nice....& yes the bathrooms are very cool. We ate at the resturant several times. They had good typical tico food along with other choices, the breakfast was great & free. Other people have mentioned the price being high at the resturant, however we found this to be the case with the whole surrounding area of La Fortuna. Used the swim up bar which was awesome after a day of activities with the heated pools. The front desk would set up excursions or attend to any of your needs while there & everyone was very friendly!! I would definatly stay here again, it was one of my favorite places we stayed while in Costa Rica & I'm reccomending it to family which are planing a trip there next year. Overall experience at the Mountain Paradise Hotel was excellent!!!!

I really enjoyed my time at Mountain Paradise. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The grounds are just beautiful. If I had had more time there I would've walked around and enjoyed the landscape more. I had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Both meals were delicious. I really liked my room and how spacious it was. It was nice not being in a cramped hotel room. The only thing that I found slightly difficult was the fancy light switch. I think it was just too technically advanced for me. :) Great place-I would recommend it to anyone!
