Nice and comfortable hotelPosted Aug 30, 2013
Pros: I loved the king size bed that was very comfortable and the free shuttle service to the hot springs.
Location: The location was ok, it was about a 10 minute drive to the local city center. I would recommend the lava lounge for a fun place for a drink.
Tabacon grand spa thermal resort was a wonderful experience. I would recommend staying the night and going to the hot springs after the sun goes down, less people and colder weather. The staff was friendly and very helpful, for example free shuttle service to the hot springs. I would also recommend the combo tour of waterfall repelling and white water rafting!!

The rooms were at best ordinary - no better than a room at a Select Inn or of that standard. The whole hotel needs an update. It looks and feels like it is the 70's. The food served in the hotel is, at best, simply mediocre . As a hotel which proudly displays a "Leading Hotel of the World" and a five star rating in its lobby it simply doesn't live up to those expectations and standards. The spa area, however, is wonderful. If that is all you are seeking from your visit to the hotel then consider staying there. Otherwise, you should consider staying elsewhere if you are visiting this area.

Nice place - a bit busy with buses with tourists.Posted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: I liked the vegetation and the room. Food at the hotel is EXPENSIVE.
It is nice that hotel stay includes the ticket to Tabacon Hot Springs.

Amazing Resort! Can't wait to go back!Posted Aug 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Tabacon was an AMAZING resort. Although it was a bit pricey you are truly pampered. Our room was amazing (just the basic room) and featured everything to the finest detail (bathrobes, chocolates, turn down service, toothbrush kits in the bathroom, etc.). The hot springs were amazing as well! The food at the buffet restaurant and Los Tucanes was amazing. Can't say enough good things. Hope to go back sometime soon!

Ultimate paradisePosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: Too many things to list! Very friendly staff, you could tell the staff are happy to work there.
Cons: Honestly, everything was wonderful and went above my expectations. The chocolate surprise was wonderful with my wine!
Location: The location is right at the volcano, in fact the view outside of our hotel was the volcano. The gardens and landscaping were breathtaking.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and you are greeted with a nice welcome drink. This hotel is the complete luxury paradise hotel. I have to say this is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. The room is beautiful and spacious with beautiful views no matter which room you stay in. They have golf cart drivers that will take you to the rooms with your luggage and a shuttle to take you to the hot springs. The resort is landscaped beautifully with tropical plants and flowers everywhere. The hot springs were so relaxing that I can't even put into words. There is a meditation garden with soft relaxation music and you will get lost in the many paths with beautiful scenery and bridges. There are many hot springs and some have waterfalls and it is not too crowded where you can even have a whole waterfall hotspring to yourself! They have a fun slide that goes into a heated swimming pool and a swim up bar. The prices are reasonable for this type of resort and we will definitely come back. This was a great ending of our week long trip!

Just GreatPosted Jul 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
There were no negatives. The hot springs was great. There were scattered man made pools 3 to 4 feet deep that were constructed in various parts of the volcanic heated streams, that looked as if they were made by nature. At the upper part of the springs- where no children are allowed- romantic music is played with couches with curtains are offered to ensure romantic privacy.Quite nice. The staff is extremely nice, and the rooms spacious. Treat yourself!
