Recomiendo Jr SuitePosted Aug 2, 2015
Excelente hotel y si quieres tener un jacuzzi de aguas termales en tu habitación recomiendo jr suite. La comida y atención de los meseros puede mejorar todo lo demás excelente!!

Nice staff, great food, nice room and beautiful location. Saw lots of birds while eating breakfast. Best free breakfast on our trip. Only downside is too far to walk anywhere.

Late check out fee - Very bad ExperiencePosted Jul 29, 2015
Everthing was fine until we asked if we could leave the hotel at 2pm. The frontdesk lady said we had to pay $20/hour after 12md. My family travels a lot and all the hotels never charge us the late check out fee.

Great location with hot springs on sitePosted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Hot springs with late bar to the pool from the helpful staff.
Cons: Free shuttle to La Fortuna. No gym.
Location: It's all about the volcano and hot springs in La Fortuna.
Arrived in La Fortuna as the first base from San Jose. Hot springs are superb, expansive 3-tiered pools for guests plus private jacuzzi springs in the superior rooms. Great breakfast, and the dinners are also very good, not cheap, but not a rip-off either. The volcano is close by, with reasonably priced tours. Fantastic place for 1-3 nights, would recommend at least 2 so you can appreciate the hot springs from breakfast til bedtime. The microclimate brings a lot of cloud (July). Ideal for families, couples, anyone really.

Excellent HotelPosted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: Staff and Springs, both excellent
Location: Approx 10 to 15 mins from La Fortuna, car would be required.
We had a great stay at the Volcano Lodge and Springs. The gardens are really nice and the Spings are very relaxing. The staff were excellent and very attentive to special requests!

Super recomendable!!!

Disappointed in managementPosted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: The restaurant area was pretty neat, although much smaller than anticipated.
Cons: The standard rooms need updating, blankets on the bed at least or bedspread, something besides just sheets.
Location: The Peace Lodge at La Paz Was awesome, hot springs also.
We had requested the nicer junior sweet for our elderly two Father's and son so they could enjoy the outside pool and an extra room for us, so we could have some much needed time together. I later found out that we couldn't place our son in there because there was not the third bed available. I asked if we could upgrade to another room and pay the additional $20 for the upgrade next door to them due to the bed issue. They stated we would have to pay full price for that room. The room we wanted was not booked and even though we had paid for 3 adults in the suite room - they were not willing to work with us. The food is overpriced... the room we slept in was really old, outdated, and not something would have chosen. The photos are not recent obviously... management was unwilling to work with us to make our trip Costa Rica more enjoyable. I'm sure glad that I hadn't booked the room(s) for two nights as originally planned. Just beware that it's not as pictured. Expedia worked with me regarding the price and actually gave me a coupon to use later... really nice of Expedia!

Great timePosted Jul 10, 2015
Had a great time. Jr suite included champagne, wine, beer and snacks. A few bugs, but can't control that in the jungle area. Would definitely recomend.

Good location/UncomfortablePosted Jul 10, 2015
Terrible bed, dirty bathroom(hair from previous guests), smelled bad, awesome location though, beautiful grounds.
