“Volcano Lodge - great place to stay”

The hotel was wonderful. The room was large with a breathtaking view of the volcano. The surrounding gardens were exceptional.

This Hotel was very nice and the grounds were stunningly beautiful. Of course it helped that the volcano was in view for much of our stay.

We got a great rate for this hotel at the last minute and were extremely satisfied. This turned out to be one of the best places we stayed in Costa Rica. Beautful surroundings even in the fog and then we were wowed even further when the skies cleared the following morning!

The hotel was just outside of town (which is good, most of the nicer hotels were right along this road), check-in was a breeze, the grounds were beautiful, and they even surprised us with cute little towel animals every day.

“Great location at a great price”

We were very happy with the cleanliness of our rooms and the quality of service at the Volcano Lodge. The rooms are clean and stylish, but very basic. Bathrooms, air conditioning and safes in every room. A great view of the volcano from your room and anywhere on the property. The grounds of the hotel are an attraction of their own... it is like staying in a tropical plant nursury.

“Exceeded my expectations”

The hotel rooms were highly comfortable, with a GREAT view of the volcano, but I only got to see it complete early in the morning (7:30 AM). Room was big enough with all the necessary amenities, bathroom was large enough, and the design of the rooms was lovely. They were also very clean. The gardens were highly cared for, with many kinds of colorful plants that made it a beautiful place to stay. Restaurant and pool area were very nice, and the sound of the water running was very relaxing. Both waiters and front desk attendant were very nice and helpful.

“Love Volcano Lodge”

Staying at the Volcano Lodge was a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. It has the most beautiful landscaping and view of Arenal Volcano. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They will assist you in booking tours or directing you on the best place to find monkeys! The breakfast is also very good. Pura Vida!

“Exceptional stay”

Just got back from Costa Rica, should have spent more time at this facility. It was beautiful with great view of the volcano. The grounds were exceptional with plenty of natural foliage. The room itself was extremely large and clean. Tile floor, huge walk in shower. It did take a minute to cool down with air conditioning but overall, this was great! We spent 4 nights at an all inclusive on beach and wished we would have stayed here instead. The restaurant at this hotel was great but there are plenty of options close by. In addition, all other attractions are close by. The pool is somewhat small but adequate. The real draw here was the staff. The front desk booked us multiple attractions and they were helpful. I actually felt like they were trying to help me, as opposed to "selling" me something. I can't say enough nice things about this hotel, especially for the money. We wished we would have stayed longer in La Fortuna and we should have avoided "the beach" all together.

Can't complain about anything! The service was especially excellent and friendly! Best stay in Costa Rica!
