“Volcano Lodge & Gardens”

Excellent accommodations, dining; gorgeous gardens with the most amazing, colorful and unusual flowers and trees. After a day of hiking, rafting and sightseeing, we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi under the stars. Service, as well, was excellent. Highly recommended to everyone.

“Best Hotel Ever!”

I love this hotel. Beautufil gardens, excellent service, and great view of the volcano. Hotel has computers to use in the lobby. On one of they days, I had plans to leave early for a rafting trip. The hotel went ahead on their own and prepared packaged breakfast to go for us. Staff planned and organized all our activities and transportation. They have well kept beautiful gardens all over the place. Clean hotel down to the last detail. They even decorated our towels in the shapes of elephants. Close to town and hot springs. Great price. Would recommend!

“A place to enjoy”

Our family had a very pleasant stay at the Volcano Lodge. The staff was most attentive and friendly. The gardens are beautiful and well kept. The spa services are quite good. In all, the experience was relaxing. The highlight of our stay was actually seeing Arenal volcano from our rooms and from the dining room. We certainly will consider returning there.

“Great place to start a vacation”

We had an amazing view of the volcano from our room, the garden paths on the hotel grounds were lovely to explore and the included buffet breakfast by the pool was better than average. Plus, it's a short 2km drive to the Tabacon Hot Springs.

“120% satisfaction”

This is a hotel nested in a large tropical garden, it is so beautiful and relaxing; we hated to leave. The food is exceptional and the price competitive. The chef must be well known in the area, we saw outside guests came to eat by the busload. The hotel staffs are all so nice and attentive, they took care of us good. We're already planning to come back next year.

“Great Stay - Great Value!”

The volcano lodge is close to town and close to the volcano viewing area. The grounds are beautiful with blooming flowers and trees everywhere! The free breakfast was fantastic and dinner was delicious. The rooms were big, clean, and the beds comfy. They even have a back porch, which is great for viewing birds, monkeys, etc. Overall and great stay and will be back.

“Fabulous Volcano Views in La Fortuna, Costa Rica”

The Volcano Lodge & Gardens (VL&G) was a delightful discovery during our trip to Costa Rica. We wanted to visit el Volcán Arenal in La Fortuna, and the VL&G promised spectacular views of the area for an incredible price. They delivered on their promises and so much more! The grounds are a gorgeous tropical garden of native plants and flowers that weave through and connect the rooms with the public areas. The restaurant (Surá) has superb dishes and even better service at extremely reasonable prices, especially for such a nice resort hotel. The concierge service at the reception desk put us in contact with high-quality tours and excursions of every sort. We only had to show up at the appointed hour and then set off for one amazing experience after another that really got us "in touch" with Costa Rica. There are two swimming pool areas that are beautifully kept and very inviting, and the rooms themselves are spacious and like a little piece of home away from home. The king-size bed in our room was hands down the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on while traveling (which I do quite often). It was a great way to finish our fun days to come back to our room and doze off in the comfy bed. DON"T pay too much for other hotels in the area when you can have everything you could want at the Volcano Lodge & Gardens!

“Whimsical towel animals!”

This lodge is a beautiful and well-maintained property, with wonderful service, a great breakfast, and towels folded into whimsical animals! One day, they were folded to resemble swans, and another day several towels together were folded to resemble an elephant walking through a field of orchids. I would go back.
