Convient location, wonderful colonial buildingPosted Oct 23, 2013
Pros: location, ambience, size of suite
Cons: concierge support, fruits for breakfast
we booked a last minute rate for a suite, very good value for money, standard rooms in the inner court yard less recommended

The suite was a unique experience!Posted Aug 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
We opted for one of the suites to experience the historical building the hotel is built on. We were blown away walking into the room. Details like the original stone walls, the wood paneled windows, cavernous ceilings and the old iron key used to open the front door gave the place a unique vibe. The hotel's location is excellent, just behind the Monasterio de Santa Catalina and an ideal distance from the busy main square.

Incredible Colonial HotelPosted Jul 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
If you want the true Arequipa experience and would like to stay in a perfectly run hotel with impeccable service, this is your place. The hotel is located in the old Mint house, which is a handsome colonial mansion that fits the atmosphere of the city to perfection. The rooms are in a new area and are very good. The communal areas could not be more romantic, cozy and beautiful. The restaurant Alma is super, the breakfast is AMAZING and included and the location is perfect.

Just finePosted Mar 21, 2013
Cons: The price
Location: Well located, close to the center of the town, quiet inside.
Maybe the prices are a little high for what you´ve got... there´s not much you can do inside the hotel but sleep and take your breakfast, or dinner. Maybe it´s considered a high class hotel because it is built in an old house with history.

Deluxe, About 4 blocks to Plaza De ArmasPosted Aug 26, 2012 on Hotels.com
Spacious room where we felt secure. Front portion of hotel is housed in ancient, well-kept building. Our portion was newer but that did not detract in any way. Clean. About 2 block walk to tour the convent. Free buffet breakfast that was tasty. It's a bonus if you plan your stay to include Arequipa Day which is regional holiday on August 15. Did not walk about on foot after dark since I don't understand local do's and don'ts.

amazing service!Posted Jan 31, 2012 on Hotels.com
I was very sick during my stay at this hotel. We were there for 2 days . I got sick from a place we stay in urbamba a day earlier.( Dont even bother going there.) The staff at Casa andina were amazing, called a doctor for me with a translater. They went and picked up my anitbiotics and other pills/gaterade for me. Then they called every 2 hours to see how I was. It was so amazing to see such caring staff. It was truly an wonderful hotel, in an under rated city. Thank you!

Great hotel in ArequipaPosted Nov 16, 2011
Location: Central/Plaza de Armas
Hotel was excellent. Best features: cleanliness, amenities, location, beautiful architecture and grounds. Probably the best hotel in Arequipa. Things to consider when booking: Many (most?) rooms have either an interior or wall view. Only a few rooms appeared to have a view that allowed natural light or even a piece of sky. If anyone in your party has a Peruvian DNI or passport, you will receive an unexpected additional hefty tax even if the reservation (or payment) is made by a non-Peruvian (this is standard in Peru, but many hotels will look the other way). Breakfast was great, but the staff seemed a bit distracted. Overall, an excellent hotel for an enjoyable stay.
