Great price, helpful staff, good location

Pros: Historic building, great price, friendly staff, close to spectacular cheap food. Owner recommended a really good restaurant with real Peruvian food.
Location: 3 blocks from Plaza de Armas, 2 blocks from dozens of restaurants on Puente Bolognesi
Nice, friendly, helpful people work there. They booked my Puno bus ticket which was delivered to the hotel free. The building is really nice. It has a roof deck, a patio and a bar with pool table. The reception room sells sodas, water, beer and snack food. The included breakfast is just fine and pretty much exactly what you get in all non-luxury accomodations in Peru: a couple of rolls, butter, jam, yogurt, a fruit drink, a pot of hot water and an assortment of teas and instant coffee. Some people might be bothered by traffic noise, but Peru is not the country for light sleepers. I was in the room closest to the reception and the door to the street and there is unavoidable vehicle noise from the street 6 AM-10 PM in Arequipa but I had no trouble sleeping through it. The rooms in the back may be quieter. Bed was comfortable, wifi and TV worked, private bath facilities functioned as expected. Everything was fine.
