Nice property- loc and staff are excellent. Easy walking distance to the spots in the old town. Note breakfast is good, but basic. You can order eggs cooked to your preference however.

The property was a short walk from the town centre. We had a four person family room which had four individual beds which was a welcome change from day sofa bed option you find in most hotels. The staff were friendly and eager to please and just a few minor tweaks would make the service flawless: 1 we booked a wake up call for 2:30 am, as we were catching an early tour, which we did not receive and 2 our room was left unlocked after being cleaned. Breakfast was not bad and the packed breakfast that was made for us when we left early for the tour was excellent. The hotel is very cute with a relaxing courtyard and a pet tortoise and the room was clean, warm and spacious. I would definitely recommend to other travellers spending a couple days in Arequipa.

Absolutely amazing service, staff is extremely nice and welcoming. The rooms are small but comfortable and have everything you need (blow-dryer, safe etc)

Nice hotel in a very central location. I chose it as there were amazing reviews and the photos looked stunning! However, you should request in advance to have a room in the garden otherwise you’ll be placed in the main building which has a lot of street noise and he rooms are not nearly as pretty as the photos. Breakfast was a small buffet but enough options.

Great location!
Very warm and hospitable staff 24/7. Room with 4 twin beds was a bit small with our luggage, but comfortable and warm. Wonderful rooftop terrace for breakfast overlooking the city. Location is perfect and within minutes of the plaza. Thank you!

People at front desk are extremely helpful. I would thank them for their voluntary helps! The room is small, but clean. Location is super, close to all attractions and best restaurants. Breakfast is very simple, but serves the purpose. Would stay again

Good place to stay
The hotel is clean, they are always cleaning. All COVID measurements in place. The room was comfortable, bathrooms clean, hot water. Location is good few blocks from the main square. Breakfast is included.

Hotel with Character and Comfort
Would definitely recommend for a stay in Arequipa. Hotel has a good location, close to the monestary...and a rooftop terrace for the included breakfast. There's a giant tortoise living in the courtyard! The room was clean...and nice and cool on a warm day. Staff was fantastic. They were friendly and assisted with everything from our tour bookings to laundry.

Great start to our first stop on Peru!
Nice clean hotel with cozy beds in great location! The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful! Breakfast on the roof was lovely. But the best part were the two tortoises that live in the courtyard! Definitely recommend Las Torres de Ugarte!

We stayed for one night in the stopover before going to Colca Canyon. It was a very clean and suitable hotel. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and kind. They made us a box lunch to take on the bus since we were leaving early, which was so thoughtful. I was also so impressed when I came back in January for just a day, and I emailed to ask if they could hold my luggage for the 12-hours that I would be in town while I walked around, and they responded quickly and were very kind. They even called a taxi for me too! I can’t say enough nice things about the ladies at the desk!

This property was great! Perfect location as it was very close to the main plaza and all must see places to visit but still in a quiet location. We were in a Queen Room which was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Having breakfast outside on the terrace was very nice. Staff were always friendly and very helpful. The staff even left a small note and chocolate in our room for our wedding anniversary which made our stay even more personalised and special. We loved staying here.

Great location very close to the Santa Catalina Monastery, we were in courtyard rooms it was pretty quiet. Lots of outdoor seating areas, courtyard two different decks with great views. Breakfast was good

Basic room but very friendly staff. They provide packed breakfast if you let them know you are going out for early tours. Allow early check in at no charge if room is available.. Even as early as 6am

Small room, but HUGE bed! Was able to check in early which was really nice as I was super sick and just wanted to sleep. Wonderful roof top patio. Cute dining room with eggs to order. Nice change from all the scrambled egg buffets. The staff were very kind, making an extra effort to check in on my well being.

Good hostal, can be noisy at times
Good hostel, very central. The hallways are very noisy, but other than that it's good. The rooftop terrace is a nice touch, the breakfast is good - cooked to order eggs and a buffet. The rooms are clean although as mentioned can be noisy at times from the hallways.

Good Hostal close to main attractions
Nice hotel. Location is perfect. Santa Catalina monastery is few steps away. And plaza de Armas and all the good restaurants are very close. Very friendly staffs. Most of all we enjoyed Lolo and Lola two resident turtoises.

The hotel is in a great location - right next to the historical centre. Staff are super friendly and willing to help. English is good, as well. There is a nice view from the rooftop as well and a nice court yard just to lounge in to get used to the altitude.

awesome hotel in the city center
I traveled a lot in Peru, with the company and alone, and this hotel was far the best among those where we stayed. Nothing negative to say. I arrived very early, around 7am and was allowed to check-in without additional payment. The breakfast was excellent and prepared without delays, tea/coffee was available for free in the reception hall. The view from the roof was beautiful! Definitely I would stay there again!

Had a great experience here. Great friendly staff helped us check in for our flight, called us taxis when needed. Rooms are great, the two tortoises are a fun little plus! Breakfast is also fresh and a great variety of food and drinks. Very good location to - only a 5-7 minute walk from the main plaza.

Breakfast was great! Eggs are made to order, one special dish every morning (grilled cheese day 1 and fresh fruit salad day 2). Hotel is securely locked all the time. It made us feel uncomfortable at first but after spending days in Arequipa, I can assure you this is a very safe and clean city. Everything is within walking distant from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay here. Oh, there are 2 turtles living in the courtyard. :)

Some rooms are noisier than others
GREAT location for seeing the main sites in Arequipa. On two busy streets, so not the quietest at night depending on where in the hotel your room is. Our room was off the courtyard, which was nice for sunshine (and seeing the two resident tortoises) but not so nice for the traffic noise that came through. Our room needed a little electrical maintenance (a frequently flashing bulb in the bathroom that was annoying at night since the light came through to the bedroom) and it hadn't been fixed by the time we left though we'd asked. Lots of variety for breakfast. Staff was helpful in advising on travel and restaurants.

Beautiful stay

The hotel is very well situated in the heart of the city. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms were a little small making it easy to bump into things. Also, the internet connection speed was too slow for video chat or large emails took a long time to send/receive. The hotel's common areas are beautifully painted and they have a nice garden area with a tortoise. The breakfast was very nice. You can climb to the top where they have a nice terrace for relaxing in the sun an looking at the volcanoes around the city.

Place is great - but I got charged extra for being peruvian (even though I have lived in the US for 18 years). Not sure where that rule came from, but it would have been nice to have a disclaimer of what I was going to be charged in reality instead of what was advertised. Had I known, I would have stayed somewhere else most definitely.
