“Fantastic hotel, good value for money”

This was one of the best hotels we stayed at in Peru and only mid-price. Thomas and the team were very welcoming and attended to our every need. The location is excellent just off the main square, and the rooms are modern, stylish, clean and comfortable. I would recommend Los Tambo to anyone going to Arequipa.

This delightful boutique hotel was a gem among 20 hotels and lodgings sampled in our 6 weeks tour of five South American countries. Sparkling new, artistically decorated and furnished, it combines elegance with comfort. Tom and staff are outstanding in their hospitality and local knowledge. Thoughtful touches include a log fire in the lobby-lounge, free bottled water, tea always on tap, free pick up and drop off at airport or bus station. Cannot fault this centrally located haven in any way.

“Excellent find!”

I booked this hotel entirely based on the reviews I read on the Expedia website. I was not disappointed. The hotel location is perfect, and the hotel is excellent in all respects: the staff is friendly and efficient, the hotel is very comfortable and clean, the rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. Breakfast was excellent, and it is served in a room on the top floor with a nice view of the city. We asked and received excellent advice from the hotel staff about the city. The rates are very reasonable.

Everything is so comfortable, either stuff or the condition of hotel. Very good location, just 3 minutes walk to the Plaza de armas. Offering pick-up from bus station. Stable hot water. Delicious breakfast! Thoughtful, kind and helpful stuffs. The quality is much more than the price! They try to earn 100% satisfaction from customers, but they got 200% of mine.

“Best place to stay in Arequipa!”

This hotel was great. It was located near the centre of Arequipa and very close to everything. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. In the room we had a fridge which always stocked with two bottles of water for our convenience. We had a private bathroom which was kept very clean. The hotel staff were very helpful in suggesting tours to us or restaurants. We ended up staying an additional night and were delighted when we were told that as we were styaying over 4 nights one night was free. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Excellent Boutique Hotel in Arequipa- great value”

When we checked in, it was x-mas eve and they not only had the reservation/room all ready, but had little christmas candies as a treat in the room. Also when we arrived we handed in a bunch of laundry which was done by the next afternoon (Christmas!) The hotel includes free breakfast in their 5th floor cafe (great views over hte city!) and there is an observation deck on the 6th floor- bring a beer or wine back and enjoy the sunset and view of Misti! Rooms were great- VEry modern (brand new hotel) with awesome beds, showers, etc. A minmi-fridge with free bottled water is in each room. Also have a flat screen with many many channels- we were even able to see some of the US college football on New Years Day! Definitely don't spend time in the hotel with the TV though- Arequipa is a beatiful city with gorgeous weather! Los Tambos also referred us to a good tour company and we were able to arrange a guided tour starting the day after Christmas. The efficiency and competency of the hotel staff(All spoke perfect English and Spanish, and some French and others..) really allowed us to make the most of our trip despite not having done a lot of prior planning. Hotel is in a good loc 1/2 block from Plaza de Armas and within short walking distance to all of the main attractions and many very good restaurants. Arequipa us beautiful- not tobe missed on a visit to Peru!

“Great, friendly service.”

This hotel was smaller than we expected from the photos. Our room was on the small side, too. But the service was outstanding. A great, friendly staff. It's located on a somewhat funky block, but it's just steps away from EVERYTHING.

“Excellent find, definitely recommend”

This was a great little find, with great staff, great location and great decor. Only tiny glitch was the beds are pretty small - good if you are alone, not so good if you are a 6 foot + husband and wife. But all in all would highly recommend this hotel.

“Highly recomend Los Tambos, Arequipa.”

The hotel is right around the corner from Plaza de Armas, the centre of Arequipa. The staff and service is outstanding! I travel a lot around the world, and I would rate the service at Los Tambos as well above expectations! I arrived with a foot in a cast having injured myself a few days before and the staff were incredibly helpfull and accomodating with foresight and kidness, whilst I had to connect with travel insurance agency, airlines, doctors, etc. I could not thank them enough! The owners are always present and take personal care and attention to customer's needs, which is a very nice touch! The satff are wonderfull and incredibly accomodating, caring, resourcefull and knowledgeable! And did I mention the wonderfull, cooked to order breakfast in the breakfast room overlooking the roofs of Arequipa? Highly recommend Los Tambos for your stay in Arequipa!

“Would stay there again”

We really enjoyed the stay in this small but nice hotel. Rooms were small, but cozy. Excellent location 1 Minute away from Plaza del Armas. Staff was very nice and helpful. WIFI worked excellent. Would go there again
