Great Stay

Posted Aug 4, 2010
Stayed July 22-25. Upon arrival, the hotel looked a little lonely; sitting in the middle of a grassy field. The building, from the outside, could be cleaned up a bit. Still a modern looking, minimalist building. Everything else was great. Hotel staff was excellent and always very helpful. Rooms were very nice and bed was very cozy. The bathroom had nice amenities. Buffet breakfast was not immense, but suited us with coffee and rolls. Taxis were the primary way in/out of the historic city center. About €7-10 each ride. I will definitely stay here again.

Very well worth the price

this hotel and it's restaurant were very well worth the price per night. Clean, modern and free mini bar and coffee. Would have been nice to have free WiFi, but not a big deal. Great location and amazing food.

Nice modern decor but it was overpriced for such mediocre service

Posted Mar 29, 2009
When we arrived and our room wasn't ready that was fine, was almost impressed that we could sit in the lounge and have complimentary coffee, but the machine was broken. The hotel itself was modern clean and tidy, but service was patchy and in particular there was only a portable bar prior to dinner but couldn't get anywhere to reside as the lounge was full. AS it was on a trading estate we have to get expensive taxis into town and the restaurant which had quite nice food was very price and service was rushed. for example it was half an hour after ordering they told us there was no chicken and to order again. we asked for house wine and they served us a bottle costing 28..this is in the middle of a wine region!! bathroom was nice and it was all very nice and fresh. at half the price we'd have been delighted, but it was more expensive than a much nicer one we had in florence.

nice, but out of the way

A lovely hotel, with really nice staff, but just too far from the station and the old parts of the town for my liking. They also asked for an "Expedia voucher", which I didn't have and I eventually convinced them didn't exist. they were really nice about it, and this isn't a complaint, just a heads-up for people who book in future.
