“Will be coming again, and sending friends and family”
The Villa Marsili is an incredible value, with service better than that of a top-notch, big city hotel. I would rrecommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cortona, particularly if the guestes don't speak Italian, as the staff are eager to engage in conversation whether in English or Italian. The "breakfast lady" will also happily make you cappuccinos to your heart's content, and the breakfast spread is substantial enough to get you through lunch if you are planning on a fancy dinner. I wish I could live for one year at Villa Marsili and write that long-anticipated novel, fueled on the Villa's coffee and kindness.
“Great Cozy Hotel - Wonderful Staff”
All of the staff, especially front desk, were some of the nicest I have met in the hotel industry. They seem very genuine and willing to assist and provide recommendations. Julia gave us a couple great restaurant recommendations, as well as scheduled winery tours and tastings. Thanks to the staff at Villa Marsili, our visit to Cortona was very memorable.
“Found the Tuscan Sun at Villa Marsili”
Fabulous staff and hands on manager, Stefano. The rooms are large and comfortable with free wi-fi. Breakfast were plentiful and a nice variety of foods, along with great coffee drinks. It was located about 2 blocks down the hill from the square which was nice on the weekend nights when the square tends to be noisy. The view from our room was of the hillside, surround valley and the corner of Lake Trassimeno, the site of one of the most spectacular defeats of the Roman Army by Hannibal. I cannot say enough positive about this experience.

“Villa Marsilli is a dream”
After a couple of nights in a terrible French hotel we were not expecting to be treated friendly when we found Villa Marsilli. We were so wrong. As soon as we entered we were told to have a seat, have a glass of wine and some food that had been laid out. The staff there is great. We had never been to Italy before and had no idea what to expect. We are African Americans traveling to Europe for the first time and we were treated so warmly and felt so great about our stay that we tried to cancel our additional nights scheduled in Turin, Italy to stay there (sadly we were unsuccessful but the Marsilli staff did what they could to help us). All in all I will count the days til I return to this wonderful place. What a great hotel, great town and great staff.
