“I plan to go back....soon!”

A beautiful hotel set in stunning grounds in a fabulously pretty "hamlet" consisting of small holdings and farms. Breakfast in the garden was wonderfully relaxing way to start the day and lots of choice. Plenty of local hikes and the hotel gave me a well drawn local map and highlighted some good routes. A walk up to the top of the hill to see lake Trasimeno is a must especially in the evening. I loved my early morning runs through the fields of corn and past the grapevines. A bar/shop about a mile from hotel and a Spar shop another quarter of a mile down the road were handy for supplies. Lovely pool with beautiful views of the Tuscan rolling hills. Cortona a 10 minutes taxi ride away and a lovely little place to explore. A walk up to the Santuario S Margherita is well worht it as the views of Cortona below are beautiful. I plan to go back.......soon! Hotel staff very welcoming and special thanks to Lorela for all her guidance and enthusiasm.

“Simply the best Tuscan experience..”

I very rarely write hotel reviews as our experience of them is usually close to being underwhelmed, however this hotel is a terrific Tuscan experience in all senses of the word. Only 1/2 hr from Perugia airpost and 5 minutes from Cortona it is perfect as a weekend escape. All members of our group adored it from the 8year old to the 85year old! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the setting & decor blissful and the food extraordinary (there is a cookery shcool on site). We actually changed plans and returned several days after we checked out as my father wanted to celebrate his 80th birthday in style and the the Wimpole family gave him an experience he will not forget. Thank you so much Damian and family.
