Unusual but appealing B+B in seaside town

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: Outgoing staff; unique & colorful style.
Cons: Mattress VERY stiff.
Location: Hilltop fort overlooking the town; boat tours; shopping & eating
This town has quaint & picturesque written all over it, and the Ilion Hotel fits right in. My GPS refused to take me to the address--turns out the street is a stairway! Colorful rooms with a Venetian-type flair (and some rather explicit Renaissance-style paintings on the ceiling & headboard). Hotel is a big, historical home, a maze of staircases & hallways. Owner was friendly & informative in giving history of the building & the town.

the hotel is just good but too much mirror in room

Posted Nov 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel seems to have a long history. The location is good if you can find it successfully. The road there is little confuse to us to drive and you can't part the car in the hotel. But there is not a big place, so you can part your car in public parking area and just take a walk to the hotel. On the whole the hotel room is very good, but too many mirror make me little uncomfortable.

Gezellig

Posted Oct 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
