Avoid at all cost
Very disappointed. I understand that this hotel plays on its old character history, but there is a difference between oldy worldly charm and rundown grubbiness. Ripped mattress protector, pealing wall paper, radiator in the bathroom with broken control, fitted radiator in the room didn’t seem to work the first night. We found a small electric heater in the wardrobe which had a FAILED PAT electrical test dated May 2023, we stayed in October 2023. No much of cleanliness about the room, dust everywhere, empty bottle and hankies under the bed, dirty windows with spiderwebs, mould in the bathroom, missing bulb in the bathroom mirror light. Food was nice in the restaurant, but I would not recommend to anybody to stay there. Unkept, overpriced and way below any standards.

Overdue for a makeover
Wonderful views from a spacious room, which felt more like a motel. Early concerns that it would be too cold to sleep in were abated when the electric heating kicked in but it was an inauspicious start. The buildings are very dated and the food menu published on the website was deceiving. Most of the choices were unavailable and we had to settle for a chicken dish with frozen veg. My first bite of the turnip was ice cold but the remainder was hot. The choice of wine by the glass was limited but the whisky menu was excellent. The whole experience (rooms were very expensive considering the state of the place and the disappointing menu) would have been a huge disappointment but was saved by the two other guests in the dining area, which resulted in a pleasant evening. Aside from the views, we definitely would not return.

Large room with nice views
VERY large room! We had room 15 with a balcony and 2 twin beds. The bathroom was big, has heated floors and a heated towel rack, and good water pressure in the shower. In the closet, there was also spare bedding and a disabled seat for the shower. The beds weren't my favorite, but they did the job. Nice cookies with the coffee pot. It feels like a little apartment. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner there, and the haggis was tasty - very meaty, light on the oats. Definitely recommend this hotel.

A lucky find in a peaceful and secluded location. Friendly bar staff, well cooked and presented food with regional specialities. Spacious room recently refurbished but the mattress was rather uncomfortable. Excellent en-suite with a high standard of cleanliness.

Clean and tidy, cute and loved the heritage of the property. Stunning surrounds. No food options close by (at least 15 minutes away) but the in house restaurant was excellent. Food was delicious! Breakfast was also great. Beds were comfortable.

Another great stay
Our fourth stay at this beautifully located Inn and we plan to stay again early next year. We stayed in one of the rooms with an outside balcony with wonderful views ove the loch. The room was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was to a high standard and the dinner menu very good (the venison is recommended) The bar has a good selection of whisky and is a good place to have a laugh with the locals

Hotel a little run down externally but OK internally. Evening meal a little disapointing but breakfast was nice. The 3 pin plug circuit in my son's room did not work and the TV was very complicated, without any instructions present. Plenty of parking.

On arrival we had to ask for tea and milk for the room. There was no housekeeping for our room throughout the 3 night stay. The hot water was non-existent and considering this was meant to be the top accommodation it was very disappointing. We have asked for some sort of refund, but have to wait and see.

Loved it. Very convenient to inverary and beautiful views of the Loch, boat cruises and great meals. Had some reservations at first with dust, etc but fell in love with adorable space and, particularly food in no time. Recommend it!

The Cairndow Stagecoach Inn is a quaint and lovely place with lots of interesting history. There is an actual stagecoach in the pub, retrofitted into a dining booth. The front gardens are delightful to wander about, with a gorgeous view of the loch. The restaurant was quite good for dinner and the breakfasts are hearty. The owners/managers were warm and welcoming.

The location was amazing. The room was great, the food was amazing. This is just the type of location you want in a visit to Scotland. The only negative is the lack of USB ports in the room. For international travelers, it would be super convenient to have USB ports for charging phones and other electronic devices without the need for adapters.

The property is dated. We visited on the off season so unfortunately the carpet needed to be vacuumed better and there were cobwebs above the bed. Dinner was very good in the restaurant. The view aroundthe inn was beautiful.

The room was clean and spacious and we enjoyed the large soaking bathtub. Just down the street is the start of the Shepherds Way, a 2 mile path with great views. There are not a lot of nearby dining options, so we dined at the inn. We were not able to get a reservation until later than we wanted but when we arrived for dinner the place was almost empty. The meal was delicious.

A hotel with more of a B&B feel
We absolutely loved our stay at Carindow Stagecoach Inn. When we first arrived we initially thought the hotel looked a little old, and that is because it is! It was built in the 1700s and has so much history. It’s right on the water and there is plenty to do around the area (we loved the Jail and hiked Pucks Glen which was my favorite hike of our trip-I thought it was a prettier hike than the fairy pools on Skye honestly). We ate at the restaurant twice for dinner and the food was delicious, especially the venison and mushroom cap. We we so impressed with the staff. We traveled with our 8 month old and the staff made us feel so welcome, really part of the family. We really loved both Ians and the that work there. They really went above and beyond, it was our favorite place we stayed on our three week vacation.

The Cairndow Stagecoach Inn is in a beautiful location. The room was clean and my bed was comfortable. The bar and restaurant were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Stagecoach Inn.

I found it over rated, the comments and rate at Hoteles.com were good, but reality was very disappointing I found the ratio quality / price very low. The room was very dirty and I found used towels from the guest before me in my bathroom. I couldn’t use a wi fi internet service when I needed but the girl at the reception wasn’t very interested in solving my problem. Really a bad experience

Bare in mind this is a 3 star hotel for a very reasonable price. If you want woken blandness at cheap cost, stay at on of the mainstream tlidge or hinns. In short, bucket loads of character this place, really good food and a warm “Scottish!” Welcome. Good breakfast as well and surroundings to die for. If you want perfection, it’ll cost you £200 a night and this is not the place for you. We will be back!

The Cairndow Stagecoach Inn was a dated but fine place to spend a night in Loch Lomond. The restaurant was quite good and staff were friendly and attentive. Rooms were spacious and clean albeit decorated with a 1970s decor. Bed was comfortable.

we were 2 vegans and, on the first night (a saturday) the chef had prepared three mains and 2 starters especially for us - they were delicious!. On the second night - the Sunday, we believe that this was the normal staff's day off as breakfast and dinner were abysmal. My sister couldnt eve eat her mains. The rooms ( with balconies) were amazing - layout, contents, comfort, view etc. The staff were run off their feet but extremely accomodating and very friendly. The Saturday = 5 stars for everything. the Sunday 2-3 stars for food.
