From Armstrong, the major city of Kamloops is 50 miles (80 kilometers) to the west.
The the Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum and Art Gallery is a great place to call into when you are in Armstrong.
Try not to limit yourself to Armstrong; Thompson Okanagan features numerous natural and man-made attractions just waiting to be explored. Visit the Allan Brooks Nature Centre and SunValley Speedway in Vernon, some 13 miles (21 kilometers) to the north of Armstrong.
Kelowna, is another interesting spot to explore. It is 40 miles (64 kilometers) from Armstrong and offers a number of interesting things to do and see, like UBC-Okanagan, Okanagan Golf Club and Okanagan Heritage Museum. Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park, Rotary Beach Park and Michaelbrook Ranch Golf Club are some more attractions worth checking out for those who have time to spare.
If you are after things to do inside, you can't beat Thompson Okanagan's excellent history museums. These are great spots to soak up some of the local culture and perhaps pick up a gift or two.
Take a big breath and de-stress as you have a go at the area's gentler activities such as camping and cycling. Relax upon the region's waters by going rafting or boating.
