Arthur's Pass Vacations
Arthur's Pass is situated approximately 200 miles (322 kilometers) southwest of the national capital Wellington, and 65 miles (105 kilometers) northwest of Christchurch.
It's recommended not to limit your tour to the attractions of Arthur's Pass because the whole region is dotted with an abundance of terrific sights and attractions. Castle Hill, is 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the northwest, while Moana sits 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the south.
Around 40 miles (64 kilometers) to the northwest of Arthur's Pass is Greymouth, a regional center which is home to Brunner Industrial Site, Hokitika Beach and Monteith's Brewing Company. Make sure you don't rush back to Arthur's Pass until you've checked out Greymouth's Lake Brunner, Lake Kaniere and Shantytown.
Visitors to Canterbury should head to the area's gardens. Follow the threads of the region's rich cultural tapestry at Canterbury's excellent art galleries, history museums and theaters.
If you prefer to take things a little easier when you are on vacation, Canterbury has some great options for you, such as cycling and bird watching.
