Nice hotel close to an excellent beachPosted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Proximity to a beautiful beach, reasonably priced buffet breakfast, convenient mini-market, dependable air conditioning
Cons: Water pressure and availability of hot water was poor, due to ongoing construction. Balcony was nice, but a bit too enclosed, with not much air flow
Location: Beach was great, with convenient local bar. Sports activities were extremely convenient (diving, snorkeling, parasailing, etc.). Casino next door.
Check in was easy, and hotel location was excellent for getting cabs to restaurants (never more than a 3 minute wait). Beach was fantastic

Piacevole soggiorno in ambiente amichevolePosted Jan 19, 2015

Quiet getawayPosted Jan 17, 2015
Pros: Staff was nice. Good food. Room spacious. Bed very comfortable.
Cons: Provide a screen for privacy for those sleeping on the pull out sofa.
Location: Best meal was at Passions. Downtown Has high end shops. Snorkeling was great. Highrise area offers mNy shops, foid and entertainment.
Staff is very nice. Room is comforable and very clean. We are owners next door at a timeshare and the Amsterdam Manor suits us well. There is always availability of the shaded area of the beach. Food is very good at the beach. Also the bar staff is friendly and welcoming. Dinner on the beach at Passions was a lovely experience. The only reason I rated the room 4 is that the shower is very small. Plenty of hot water and towels, but for those that need more room to shower, may not like it. For us it was fine. our daughter was with us and we ordered a cot whi h was nicely made up. Overall, I enjoyed the manor and recommend it to those who want a quiet place to stay.

Nice Hotel close to the BeachPosted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: Location to the beach
Location: Not much activity near the hotel, although the quiet efficient bus stops at the hotel at very regular intervals
We stayed 1 Jan - 10 January 2015 at this hotel and was had a wonderful time. The positives-great beach and location, pleasant, attentive staff, great room with amenities to cook. Negatives-none. Super Food which is a great grocery store is a 5 minute walk away. American dollars are taken everywhere we went. Used the concierge once, and she was very helpful. Comfortable room and comfortable bed, quiet at night. Will use this hotel again.

Cute, friendly hotel across from beautiful beach.Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: It was small & intimate. You got to know the staff & they made a point to know you. Happy hour twice daily (loved the 2-for-1 pina coladas!)
Cons: Shower pressure could be better, but they are a green hotel, so you can understand the less than abundant flow of water.
Location: Gorgeous Eagle Beach across the street, casino next door, super market short walk behind the hotel, bus stop right out front.
Had a wonderful time on our first trip to Aruba. The staff was very friendly, as were the guests, many repeaters. It was quiet & comfortable & to me the perfect size. The beach across the road was gorgeous & not packed like the ones by the high rise hotels. Absolutely loved it, would definitely return again to this hotel.

3rd time staying at the resort. Great location, great beach, great staff. Everyone is always pleasant and helpful. Only issue we had was with spotty wifi.

Our placePosted Dec 25, 2014
Pros: The close proximity to Eagle beach which is a walk across the street. The staff and beauty of the hotel.
Cons: There is nothing I can think of. Amsterdam Manor has everything that we need.
Location: There are many nice restaurants within walking distance along the beach. Bus stop right in front of hotel.
My husband & I love The Amsterdam Manor. We have only stayed here twice but intend on staying here each time we visit Aruba because it is perfect for what we enjoy while staying on the island. The Amsterdam Manor has excellent staff that treat you as though you are their only guest. They always greet you with a smile and if you have any problems they are willing to accommodate you as best they can. We have stayed in the Honeymoon Suite twice and love it. It is nice and quite. This hotel is great for people like us who are not interested in the 'party life' that the high rise hotels have to offer. We much prefer the quiet and coziness of Amsterdam Manor. We also love Eagle Beach which is directly across the street. We had our wedding beach blessing there in 2013 and loved it so much we have decided we will try and visit every year for our anniversary. A/M is also a nice place for families. They have a beautiful pool too. Another great convenience of this hotel is the on ground store where you can pick up a few items of food and a few trinkets for your room without having to travel to the supermarket. It is small but still a great thing to have at a hotel! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would want. The perfect place to stay. Our place :) We <3 Aruba!

Great for a quiet honeymoon!Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: How close it was the beach and how affordable it was.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Mostly the beach is nearby. Any other activities you would have to take a taxi or bus into town or into the high rise area.
My husband and I decided on Amsterdam Manor for our honeymoon and we were very happy with our choice! What they offer and for the price just can't be beat! We didn't want to spend a ton since we just spend quite a lot on our wedding, so we were looking for something in the intermediate range. Many of the hotels are very pricey around here, and the ones that are more affordable are a ways from the beach. The beach was literally across the road, much closer than we imagined, so it was very convenient. The beach is really nice and they have an outdoor bar and restaurant there as well. They actually have one of the nicest outdoor restaurants there (Passions on the Beach) on the whole island of Aruba. We did go eat there one night, and the views cannot be beat, however it is not cheap by any means. The rooms were clean and pretty good sized. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly! They have a little grocery store on site when you need something, but there is a HUGE grocery store very close by, which is where we went almost everyday. It was great because I had ripped my contact one day and was able to get new contacts at the grocery store. It is huge, and the prices are super reasonable. So that was a big bonus to us! In terms of night scene, this area is really quiet, which is great if that is what you are looking for, so you would have to head into town or to the areas with the casinos. We were content with peace and quiet. Overall, would stay again no questions!
