Great stay for a reasonable pricePosted May 19, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the city and other places
Cons: The dogs of the owner running around
Location: Short distance from Noord where there are tons of restuarants etc.
We stayed for the weekend and had a pleasant stay. The apparment was clean and spacious enough. Since we planned on being outside for most of the time, we did not need that much luxury. The hotel owner is nice and always available. Location is perfect, close to many restuarants, high rise hotels and beaches.

Charming Hidden GardenPosted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: The walled garden setting, quiet, location within walking distance of a great restaurant and other services.
Cons: Perhaps a few more TV channels. Otherwise, perfect for a small establishment.
Location: Short drive to beach. Can drive to sites in the countryside without driving thru downtown traffic. Walking distance to fabulous Amadeus Restaurant.
Newly constructed, small independent inn in courtyard setting with pool. Convenient efficiency kitchen. Room was small but patio furniture allows sitting and dining outdoors in the beautiful garden. Outer neighborhood is a commercial district and not very scenic, but only minutes for beach and within walking distance of a market, the fabulous "Amadeus" Austrian restaurant, and other retail services. Location a block off the main road, and the courtyard wall keep it very quiet and secure. The soft drinks and snack waiting in the room for our arrival was a nice, welcoming touch. The two little resident dogs add to the friendliness.

Apartment Style HotelPosted Apr 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
Overall my stay was short and efficient and the place was affordable, clean, she provided light snack (soda, candies, chips). The information card detailed the check-in/out process, internet and most information you would need to know. Prior to arrival she sent a detailed email with directions and helpful tips. I'd say maybe there could be thicker sheets, the top sheet was a little ratty looking. The plumbing was a bit scary...there were sounds coming from the toilet when it was not in use. while showering the drain popped out a few times. Free wifi is always great. The dogs were cute. The weather was too cloudy to use the pool but it was there. I would stay there again.

If you are looking for a quiet place in Aruba, this is the place. The owner was very nice and accommodating. No phone but does have Wi-Fi.

Recent Visit.Posted May 29, 2013
Pros: Meeting people and the owner!
Cons: Awful television. Had to live with BBC news 24.
Location: It's not a big island so I was worried about being too far from the beaches, but you can hire a car, the taxi's are ok, I even walked one day.
I recently visited Aruba after a recommendation & I'm so glad I did. I was looking for a self catering basic apartment for one so this was ideal. Sure we're not talking the Marriot here but for what I wanted this was ideal. There isn't a huge amount of room, but you can see that for yourself on the sites pictures, nothing is being hidden. I cannot speak for the neighbours in the larger apartments for families but the ones I spoke to, (in broken English), seemed perfectly happy. The owner is lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I travelled by taxi as I was wary of driving on the wrong side of the road, but they were reasonable and usually reliable. The holiday did me the world of good & before I flew back I had already made up my mind as Arnie once said, "I'll be back". And staying at the same place. In conclusion, check out the site slideshow, nothings hidden, there isn't a lot of room in the singles, but I didn't expect it as I took the time to have a look, Roll on next year or as soon as I can accrue another fortnights holiday!

Quiet and ComfyPosted May 13, 2013
Pros: Affordable and with excellent staff. Everything you have read about Angelique is true!
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and just a short drive from the main road that runs the length of the island.
After visiting the island on several occasions over the past 12 years, this hotel was a real find. Extremely clean, quiet, and comfortable and just what I have been looking for.
