BEST LITTLE HOTEL ON THE ISLAND

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: If you want great service, friendly staff, a clean, quite room, great beach, no childern and just want to relax, then this is the place for you!
Cons: I wish I'd booked a longer vacation...
Location: It's quite and relaxing. Great places to eat close by and away from the all the shopping noise and crowds.
Stayed at many hotels and I have to say this ranks up to one of the top places I've stayed. In one word "WOW". If you want to relax and enjoy every day of your vacation then come here. If you want great service and very freindly staff, then come here. If you want a clean, quite room. Great beach and no childern running around then you know where to come...Bucuti & Tara

Great quiet relaxing hotel

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The staff and the beach.
Cons: A little more initial understanding of our goals while there; ie: relaxation, food, etc. they could have done more to sell their own amenties.
Location: Location was underwhelming, in terms of being in the low rise district but the beach more than made up for it!
This place grew on us immensely during our brief 3 night stay. It is not overwhelming when you first check in, but the rooms are extremely clean with nice decor. The beach is GORGEOUS and is never crowded. The hotel staff is attentive and extremely friendly. Karen at the bar is an absolute doll and Madeline is a very charismatic, extremely personable concierge. Our AC malfunctioned the one night in our room and they did their best to try and fix it at 3:30 AM; ultimately they gave us a key to another room for the night to remove us from the 82 degree sweat house. We left early the next morning to dive and Deborah the manager could not have been more apologetic which completely disarmed us. We arrived back after the dive to a perfectly chilled room with chilled champagne as an additional sorry. Very nice. We would definitely return if we return to Aruba which we very well may! The food was a great surprise and we recommend hitting Barefoot and Papiemento for some great culinary experiences which I feel rival the states.

Beyond Expectations... Simply Amazing.

Posted May 24, 2014
Pros: Adults only. Not an all inclusive resort (we had a much better dining experience this way). Eco-friendly.
Location: We were very happy to be in the low rise section away from the crowded beaches.
Our stay at Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort was in a word "exceptional". I did a lot of research and based upon what I read, I already had high expectations, but they still managed to surprise me and went well beyond what I could have imagined. My husband and I very much appreciated the calm, peaceful, relaxing environment, and wonderful food. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach and enough personal space as well. Also, you got a fluffy, clean towel for both your chair and one for toweling off after swimming. I highly recommend ordering lunch on the beach. We had the cuban and snapper sandwich, chicken tandoori, and onion rings were awesome. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. There were many choices and they had some special local dishes included each day. Our dinners at Elements were top notch and service was amazing. The food was so great that even though we had planned to have a few meals off the resort, we just couldn't pull ourselves away from Bucuti. The facilities are excellent. The room was not only beautiful, but very comfortable as well (temperature, shower, comfort of bed etc). I also loved the gym. You could see the ocean while exercising! I was very surprised by the number of machines available. The staff are very friendly, helpful, attentive, but also very respectful of your space. This was the very best trip we have ever had and can't wait to go back!

Excellent getaway

Posted May 21, 2014
Pros: cleanliness
Cons: nothing
Location: Great restaurants within walking distance. Taxi service to anywhere on the island is readily available.
Loved everything about the place. I now understand why Aruba is named the "happy island".

Beautiful and Quiet

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: The beach chairs are very nice. The bar/restaurant is great. We never had any issues with the food or service.
Cons: It wasn't a big issue for us, but the beach food/drink service isn't very quick. We typically packed up and went to the bar to eat.
I'm always nervous that a resort will not meet my expectations, but this one surely did. The location is perfect in Aruba. If you are looking for quiet and relaxation, this is the spot. The Elements Restaurant has great food and we were never disappointed. We never had to rush to save chairs like I heard at other resorts. The beach is perfect white sand and the water is crystal blue. We did the Dinner for 2 at the Elements and it was the most romantic dinner of all time.

Nice hotel on the beach

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Very nice hotel on a beautiful beach with an extremely nice staff. Not too many restaurants within walking distance and elements restaurant, which is on site, was very good for lunch but dinner was not good at all, it was extremely difficult for a vegan to eat anywhere on the island and in the restaurant so prepare for that. You basically have fruit for breakfast and potatoes. Also no toiletries. I wish they would give you a bar of soap at least but they only have the dispensers with shampoo/conditioner combined and a bath gel for cleansing. Most higher end places give you bars of soap, qtips, cotton balls and shampoo and conditioner at the bare minimum, so that was disappointing and I wish I would have known before leaving. Also towels in the room are very rough not soft at all what you wish to have after a shower and spending a day on the beach. But the towels that are given for the beach and pool area are great and very soft! One other thing to note is that the bed is FIRM as well as their pillows, so for a side sleeper like me it was awful and I woke up sore every morning with barely any sleep, so peaceful wonderful beach but good nights rest??? Absolutely not. The beach was great and you always were able to get a nice comfortable lounge chair and umbrella. It was windy when we went in April and it felt like you were getting a constant microdermabrasion from the sand. But all in all the hotel was nice and the staff made up for the other issues I had with our room.

Beautiful quiet hotel in a very beautiful location

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: The beautiful beach in a very quiet setting. The hotel staff was also wonderful and did everything possible to make us welcome and comfortable.
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: We went sea-bobbing (new form of snorkeling) and had an amazing time.
My husband and I were able to unwind and enjoy being together. The setting is beautiful for quiet walks in the morning and evening. We are beach lovers and found Eagle Beach to be one of the most beautiful beaches. We were very sad to leave and hope we can come back again.

Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort - Paradise

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: The beach, the complimentary breakfast buffet, the staff.
We had an excellent stay at B&C. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The facilities comfortable and clean. None of the facilities (beaching, dining, bar) every felt crowded. Excellent dining at the hotel and nearby. (Try Carte Blanche, it is to die for). Overall and excellent, relaxing experience.
