Pros: Right on the beach. The meals and drinks were excellent especially for an all inclusive. I would strongly recommend it.
Location: Great golf, shopping, gambling, and beaches. All types of water activities are available.
Great resort. very family friendly!

beautiful beachPosted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: location was everything
Cons: could have been updated some
It was the most beautiful beach and blue water . The hotel is small and could be in a little better condition , but the closeness of the beach makes up for everything else. This is not a high rise so you don't have to fight for a spot or chairs on the beach. Food is ok and drinks are ok , can ask for extra shot if you want . The selling point is the water color and close beach. I have been to Mexican beaches and thought they were great and now they are just ok .

First time to the Divi All-inclusivePosted Nov 1, 2013
Pros: I liked that it was small enough that you didn't have far to walk to your room but you had the option to venture to the other resort as well.
Cons: Adding a mini bar in my room, even if it just had sodas and beer in it. Have the bar open at 10am.
Location: We didn't venture off the resort except for one night to go to the Flying Fishbone restaurant which was really cool.
We love going to all-inclusive resorts for vacation. This was our first time to the Divi. It had been recommended by several of our friends so we booked the last week in Oct. in celebration of our 3 year wedding anniversary. We didn't check bags so we made it out of the airport quickly to our shuttle. We checked in without a hitch and went to our room, a beachfront - the view was definitely worth the extra money! The room was nice and clean, nothing fancy which was just fine with us because we don't spend too much time in there anyway. We headed right out to the beach which had the most beautiful water I have ever seen and soft white sand. We then hit the pool which was refreshing and then off to the bar. I miss the "pool bar" aspect but the bars were close enough to the pool and the beach. The bar includes middle shelf liquor which was a pleasant surprise. The buffet was what we expected, same variety every day but it was pretty good. We only went to two of the restaurants, Red Parrot and Paparazzi, those were good too, a step up from the buffet. We didn't do any excursions this trip as those available we had done in previous trips. We talked to some people that did and they said they had a good time. We met some really nice people during our stay. The entertainment that we did stay around for was enjoyable, who doesn't love Aruba's take on Michal Jackson?! It is a beautiful island and a really nice place to stay.

Divi All Inclusive Aruba- DisappointingPosted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: The beach was beautiful and the water was too. It was a $10 cab ride to down town or to the high rise hotel area.
Cons: See above- everything.
Location: There is a small casino next door as well as a small shopping plaza with restaurants.
The hotel is very dated- clean, but wear and tear on furniture and stains are very apparent. The staff is not very attentive, their appearance and behavior was less than professional. Often times they would be on their phones or speaking with one another for long periods of time before tending to guests. They would serve staff food before customers- I have never stayed anywhere where the staff ate behind the bar or along side guests. The food was good, but the buffet options were very limited and you had to make dinner reservations 2 days in advance. There is no air conditioning except for in the guest rooms which is unfortunate because they mainly offer hot options at the buffet and the restaurant was hot. They assured us that Aruba and their resort was very safe but insisted we use the in room safe and charged a $2 a day fee to use it. They also had security guards day and night that walked the premise and checked to make sure all the sliding doors to the patios/decks were locked. The decks and patios only had a small half glass wall so there was no privacy between yours and the guests next to you The rooms were dated, chipped tiles, cracks in the walls, chipped paint.... There was a small refrigerator in the rooms, but they do not stock them. You only are given 1 beach/pool towel per day per person. There are no beach wait staff which really hindered being able to

GREAT bang for buckPosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: food, cleanliness, beautiful beaches and staff friendliness
Cons: remodel some of the older buildings, but no one goes to Aruba to spend time in their room so not a big issue at all
Location: snorkel by he sunken ship a couple of mile north of the resort...no guide needed, and the JET PACK is a MUST
one of the better all inclusive resorts I have experienced and of the few on the island. The resort itself has some older accommodations and some newer but the over all ambiance was great. Staff and people of the island in general were super nice, beaches were beautiful. definitely stay here again if I go back to Aruba

Great VacationPosted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: Low key surroundings, good food and service, very helpful concierge staff, well stocked bar and a great beach.
Simply put, we had a blast. The Divi Aruba is not the most up to date hotel but all the amenities work and the staff were fabulous. There had been some reviews about this hotel stating that the food was not so good, but we had no complaints. We tried all the restaurants except one and found all the buffets be quite good, and the reservation needed placed really good to excellent. We will definitely consider a repeat trip.

Beautiful beach & lounge area.Posted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Pretty lounge area by pool. I liked the convenience of the De Palm tour desk in the lobby. I enjoyed the all inclusive aspect of the hotel.
Cons: Bathroom was a good size with 2 sinks, but there was some mold on the ceiling and the grout looked like it was close to crumbling.
Location: Beautiful beach, tour buses pick you up at hotel, easy to get a cab. There's a nice section near the high rise hotels with shops and restaurants.
Convenient for tours, nice outdoor lobby & pool. Not many activities at resort, they also weren't very good at alerting us to when activities were taking place. Food at the buffet was hit and miss, the restaurants were good, but you can't always get a reservation. They didn't warn us about that. If you go, book your restaurant reservations early in the morning. Went with my husband and 14 year old daughter. There was a mix of families & couples.

Fantastic Beach...Resort just okayPosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: The Location - the beach is phenomenal. Close to Airport (only $22 cab ride). Some great bartenders.
Cons: Front desk service could be more attentive.
Location: The neighboring resort (Divi Tamarijn) that has a bus service to get to, tho it's a quick 5 minute walk. Also a casino next door.
First the good: The beach is phenomenal, one of the best I've been to. The grounds were decently kept. The food was better than expected. Some of the bartenders are real characters and make the stay fun. The bad: Not the best for a solo traveler - it was almost entirely couples and/or families. Not many kids, though enough to be annoying. I "upgraded" my room when booking to an "Oceanview" room. I had a view of a lawn, the lobby and the coffee machine. When I complained about it (3X) I got a shrugged shoulder. I wonder if I would have been stuck in a crap room if I had been part of a couple. So, not great for solo travelers. And, I'd pass on upgrading. All in all, I had a great week, but mostly because of the fantastic beach.
