Great beachside resortPosted Jul 22, 2014
Stayed at the Divi Phoenix from July 4 to July 15, 2014 in a studio apartment. This resort is a time-share property and is well kept. Great beach, wonderful pools, full service resort. Two restaurants on property offer a variety of well prepared dishes, at reasonable prices. Special touches like a welcome party, live entertainment most nights, and close proximity (walking distance) to other restaurants and clubs add to your stay. Our studio apartment had a very comfortable King bed and a Queen pull out couch, full kitchen and a great balcony with view of the beach. At this resort all suites have a beach view. Overall great value.

Paradise at its finestPosted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and beach area
Cons: More dining options would be nice.
Location: Walking distance to shopping, casinos, water activities, and other high rise notes along the boardwalk. Paseo Herencia Mall is a 10 minute walk.
Everything about the resort was perfect! The room was beautiful and clean with a great view of the ocean. We couldn't ask for a more comfortable place to unwind after the beach and walking down the boardwalk. The Palapas were nice and a breeze to reserve one every morning. We highly recommend the Pure Ocean waterfront dining overlooking the sunset. The staff, drinks, food, and the views were all great!

Nice resort except no privacy on the balconiesPosted Jul 13, 2014
We only stayed one night and the room was way too small for any longer than that.

Nice, quiet resortPosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Spacious, clean rooms. You do not hear noises through the walls like some places, that was very nice.
Location: Five minute walk to nearest pier between Riu and Radisson. Best to rent a car and drive around island. Too far too walk to shops and restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay at the Divi Phoenix. Rooms were spacious and clean. We had rooms in the tower on the fifth floor. We could see the ocean but mainly we had a view of the pool and the Vacation Time share Office. Would recommend requesting a room above the fifth floor. Loved the beach.

Beautiful hotel on the beachPosted Jun 23, 2014
Wonderful. Would go again but would prefer that there was an all inclusive options. Prices are average. Taxis don't have meters. Very safe.

Divi PhoenixPosted Jun 4, 2014
This was our fourth trip to Aruba staying at the same resort. We really enjoyed our stay here. It's nice to come back time after time and see the same staff members still there. Awesome swim up bar. The facilities are in very good shape and very nice. The only drawback was that the WIFI was really really slow.

I love ArubaPosted May 30, 2014
Pros: Relaxing and pleasant staff
Cons: Making sure everything in the rooms work well and all devices have the required equipment
Location: Easy access to all your needs and wants
As always I enjoyed my stay in Aruba. This was the first time staying at the Divi Phoenix that too was pleasant. I mostly enjoyed the pool very well kept and maintained. I definitely would recommend this hotel to friends and family

Don't stay here!Posted May 29, 2014
Location: About a mile up Palm beach, where you really want to stay, are all the activities and touristy type things you could ask for.
Location: Hotel is located in no mans land between palm beach and eagle beach. When you check in you are given your room key, a plastic towel card, and a paper "room charge" card. Can anyone tell me why a hotel with a swim-up bar on the ocean would give you a piece of paper you can't get wet to charge food or drinks to you room? Don't get excited about the swim up bar. It's only used by children eating lunch. It's a ghost town. This isn't really a hotel, it's a time share condo complex. Room: First impression isn't too bad, it's OK looking and has what you'd want over all. AND THEN you start noticing things. Busted trim, chipped paint, rusted metal, mold. AND the worst thing of all- the A/C can't keep up with the humidity and you and everything you bring are constantly damp. My girlfriend and I both started developing these odd bumps due to the fact we could never get dry. As soon as we got home and dry for a few days they were gone. Staff: The worst part of our experience. This is the first "real" vacation of my adult life. My girlfriend and I both had plenty of money saved for this and booked an entire week. However, we still wanted to do this economically so we booked a flight on airline miles and booked a portion of our stay with credit card points, paying for the rest personally. We called ahead and asked to combine the reservations, told "NO". We show up, ask to combine-"NO". Ask to keep room 1 until room 2 is ready for check in-"NO". We were stranded with no room...

Get a description of your room prior to arrivalPosted May 21, 2014
I got to the hotel at around 2! I knew check in was not until 4 so I was prepared to hang out for a second. To my surprise the front desk clerk said your room is ready! TO BE CLEAR I PICKED THE MORE EXPENSIVE BEACHSIDE ROOM! Well when I get up to my room it was in front of the pool! My wife was not happy. I call down to the front desk and after a 45 minute run around I get switched to a new room. Which still was not beachside but was higher and a little closer! Other than that the facilities are nice, beach is beautiful in walking distance to señor frogs! Probably would stay again with exact room specifics though!
