This hotel is more of an extended stay experience and is priced as such even though I only stayed for a week. I booked the room under my girlfriends name and she arrived on island about 24 hours before I did. She did not have change for 100.00 $ bill to pay the cab so the owner of the hotel paid it for her. The next morning the owner drove her to the supermarket to pick up some food until I arrived with our rental car. It was just a much more intimate level of care and the environment was much less commercial (in a very good way) than I expected. The atmosphere was very inviting and cozy and lent itself to mingling and meeting the other guests. The hotel itself was just a short drive to the mid rise and hi rise districts and beaches. I will definitely stay there again and want to send a personal shout out to the owners for their outstanding service. We were very satisfied and impressed by you both.

We rented a 3 bedroom condo at Tierra del Sol. Our party included my DH, MIL, two teens, and a tween. Condo had everything we needed including maid service! We loved the pool which had a view of the ocean. Had a massage at the spa and the teens had a facial. Services were great and reasonably priced. Did not golf.
The resort was within easy driving distance of the high rise condos (Eagle and Palm beaches). Plenty of dining close by. Went to Arashi beach where the resort supplies beach chairs. Enjoyed snorkeling at Malmok and Baby beaches.
First time trip to Aruba was very enjoyable. It is very windy there. Also bring lots of sunscreen! We had to purchase some on the island and it was expensive. Recommend eating at Le Petit Cafe, Casa Tua Pizza and A Taste of Belgium. We used Vela Sports to take wind surfing lessons. Great lesson and staff.

Overall, very satisfied. The nicest feature about the complex of 10 units was the somewhat small, round, pool. It is shaded by a huge tree, as well as a shading canopy. So with the typically constant breeze, it is a very comfortable place to relax. The water was clean, with only minimal tree debris on the bottom. It is maybe 30 feet in diameter, with a maximum depth of about 5 feet (but minimum maybe 4 feet). There is a tiered wooden deck, with a number of new chaise lounges, also typically in the shade for most of the day. There also is an outdoor grill near the pool (not used).
I believe all the units differ from each other. Mine (#8) suffered from a cramped hallway / emtry arrangement for the entry into the bedromm, the shower room, and the toilet rooms. The air conditionong unit is mounted in the bedroom. For it to effectively cool the LR, kitchen, dining area, a floor stand fan is needed (supplied) to force cool air into that room.
The main cautionary advice I can give is that a car is absolutely required. It is located miles from the beaches, the hotel areas, and downtown. The "White Beach" in the name is rather misleading. The closest white beach (Eagle Beach) is probably 4 miles away. There reportedly is no, or very limited, public bus service on the nearby main road. I don't believe that the Google map on the website gives you a clue about this. The location is very quite; except for the roosters announcing day break.

I have stayed at this property several times and always have loved the great beach, attentive service and wonderful amenities. If you like a spa, they have it. If you like beach yoga, they have it, If you need exercise equipment, they have it.

My husband and I decided on Amsterdam Manor for our honeymoon and we were very happy with our choice! What they offer and for the price just can't be beat! We didn't want to spend a ton since we just spend quite a lot on our wedding, so we were looking for something in the intermediate range. Many of the hotels are very pricey around here, and the ones that are more affordable are a ways from the beach. The beach was literally across the road, much closer than we imagined, so it was very convenient. The beach is really nice and they have an outdoor bar and restaurant there as well. They actually have one of the nicest outdoor restaurants there (Passions on the Beach) on the whole island of Aruba. We did go eat there one night, and the views cannot be beat, however it is not cheap by any means. The rooms were clean and pretty good sized. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly! They have a little grocery store on site when you need something, but there is a HUGE grocery store very close by, which is where we went almost everyday. It was great because I had ripped my contact one day and was able to get new contacts at the grocery store. It is huge, and the prices are super reasonable. So that was a big bonus to us! In terms of night scene, this area is really quiet, which is great if that is what you are looking for, so you would have to head into town or to the areas with the casinos. We were content with peace and quiet. Overall, would stay again no questions!

What a great place!! It is the perfect blend of privacy and access to everything fun! We loved the lush surroundings of the hotel and the peace and quiet that came with it. The hammock was awesome, I am honestly going to try and find one for my house!! Alice (one of the owners) was so friendly and welcoming, and gave some great recommendations on both food and places to see (which we followed and loved). I would recommend to everyone that if you want to go to aruba, skip the big hotels/resorts, stay at the boardwalk, you won't be disappointed!!!
