Beautiful place for a honeymoonPosted Aug 27, 2014
Less caroused beaches than the high rise hotels but all the amenities necessary to make an Aruban vacation a great experience. Friendly staff, excellent restaurant, quiet

Relaxing open design, beautiful beach.Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Staff makes you feel welcome and done with a smile!
Location: Not too much to do nearby...small shopping area. There is a shopping district in town about three miles (approx.) by taxi and good restaurants.
Thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing, laid back experience. The hotel/wait staff were exceptionally friendly and very accommodating. Great Mediterrean/Carribean cuisine at both restaurants on premise. Also, good lunch/snack menu at bar/cafe. The private beach was kept very clean with food and drink service available. Would definitely return!!

10-Year Wedding Anniversary Get-AwayPosted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Plenty of beach loungers & shaded areas. Shower had great pressure & stayed hot.
Cons: Pool is closed at 6:30am till morning. Part of the reason is there is dining around the pool at night but should reopen for night swimming.
Location: If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful experience without crowds or many children this hotel is perfect. Dunkin Donuts across the street & shops
After doing a lot of research, my husband and I booked our 6-night stay at Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa. We are laid-back and do not like crazy crowds... this place proved to be the right choice for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful but not overbearing. It was our first time to Aruba and we did not do the all-inclusive option since there are so many places to eat on the Island. We did rent a car which allowed us to get all around the island without relying on public transportation. We went on an organized tour through ABC Tours which was a lot of fun and then we rented a 4-wheel drive jeep right at Manchebo to go to Arikok National Park & the Natural Pools on our own. The rate was comparable to other places and convenient but it is serious 4-wheeling, which my husband is very comfortable with. I can't say the same for me but swimming in the Natural Pool was worth the rough journey. I went to two morning yoga classes in the outdoor pavilion at the resort, which are complimentary, and they were fantastic. We also had a couples massage in the outdoor spa/ beach huts which we both loved and found reasonably priced, especially since we are from NY. Half price happy hour drinks right at Pega Pega Beach Cafe were great ($4 Pina Coladas) and when we wanted a simple meal, the food was good here too. We only ate breakfast at the hotel one day and that was really good but ate off premises because of other recommendations. Beach is widest here and ver very beautiful.

Pros: quiet but fun. extremely helpful and friendly staff. great beach. wife loved the yoga and pilates classes.
Cons: better workout equipment
Location: one of the nicest beaches on the island in the low rise area. restaurants and night life is a cab ride.
A great vacation. Hotel staff arranged bike rentals, snorkel trip, jeep rental, dinner reservations. Great bar with friendly bartenders and great atmosphere.

Great hotel on the beachPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Really good food, great beach, great staff
My wife and I went to Manchebo Beach Resort for 5 nights in May and we both loved it. The food and location are amazing. We live on the Outer Banks of NC but this resort was totally different (in a good way) from our beaches here. Our oceanside room was really nice (nothing outrageous, but a nice, clean room) and the view was perfect. The restaurants on site are all delicious and we had a great time with our waiter who we made a point of getting each night. All of the staff couldn't be more helpful or nicer. While there, we met a ton of people who had been going to Manchebo for over 10 yrs straight and hopefully one day we can say the same.

Beautiful resortPosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: The size of the hotel - only 72 rooms, and the staff was amazing!! - Also, being right on the beach couldn't have been better!!
Location: Location is great - walking distance to marketplace, and casino - short taxi ride to dowtown
We stayed at Manchebo Beach 5/27-6/2, and had an excellent week - loved the resort - small resort, with the best service - every employee we met always had a smile, and also asked how we were, and if there was anything they could do to help. Room was great - we were upgraded to an ocean view, which was awesome!! - We chose the all inclusive, and were glad we did - food was outstanding at the Steak House, Ike's, and the Pega Pega bar - we especially loved the coconut shrimp - to die for!!!!! Beach is beautiful, and we liked that people were not on top of one another. It has only been 4 weeks since we were there, and can't wait to go back - would not stay anywhere else - Thanks to everyone at the resort for making our vacation wonderful!!!!

5 Night Stay in ArubaPosted Jun 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was comfortable. The rooms are average size, the bed is comfortable. The shower is superb, the rainfall shower head was amazing. The room could be cleaner, especially around the walls. The ocean view rooms are not worth it, do not pay the upgrade fee. The best part of this hotel is the location. The beach has plenty of chairs, and there is a casino and lots of restaurants close by. The ocean and pool are never too busy. The spa was okay, we got a couple's massage and both thought it was average. The staff are friendly but indifferent to client's concerns. We told them we lost our camera on the beach, and they didn't seem to really care, no one took a report on what the camera looked like or anything about the camera. We had troubles with our chargers one night and they made a big deal when we wanted to charge our phones with their computers, as the shops did not open until 10.

Hotel staff is courteous, friendly & very helpful.Posted Apr 16, 2014
The hotel was good but Aruba was extremely windy so it was almost impossible to sit on the beach without holding on to your hat and other belongings . Everything had to be tethered down
