It was OK

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: -Location -Proximity to bars and restaurants
The location of this resort was fantastic--definitely one of the best along the strip. Access to bars and restaurants was prime. Staff was very attentive in getting cabs for us and storing our luggage. The rooms were clean. There were, however, a few downfalls: -Inability to reserve a chickee in advance. The 6am wake-up to go out and claim a chickee was a bit tedious. I do wish there was an option to reserve a chickee for a week, even at an extra fee. -CHECK YOUR BALCONY DOOR SCANNER. We assumed that having our key would grant us access back into our room. Not if the battery is dead, which we found out after the door was closed and we found ourselves locked out on our balcony at 10pm. Fortunately, a woman was walking by and we managed to flag her down and have her tell reception. Once we were let in, we were told that this was the third scanner they had to replace the battery for that day. They should seriously be checking this before allowing renters to check in. -The staff wasn't always the friendliest. Evelina, in particular, I found to be a bit on the sour side. Overall, it was not the most romantic place for a couple's getaway. But definitely worth it for the affordable price and locale.

Great Location

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Loved the tropical feel and location.
Cons: Paid $45 for wifi that was spotty at best.
Location: Pelican bar on the beach, great food and happy hour. Azzuro restaurant was amazing located inside the hotel and gusto bar was a blast, short walk.
Great location in the middle of a busy strip on a beautiful beach.

The hotel is clean, and the room service was friendly. The hotel was next to the beautiful beach, and I had a wonderful vacation. I love Aruba.

Would definitely go back!

Great location, great accommodations, friendly/knowledgable concierge! Loved our vacation to Aruba, and would highly recommend staying at the playa linda. In particular, loved having a kitchenette. Went to the store on the day to buy breakfast, lunch and snacks (and wine/liquor).

Can't wait to go back!

Pros: We loved everything about the Playa Linda. It was spotless with very friendly, helpful staff. Close to the beach, restaurants, casinos, etc.
Cons: We did book fairly late and had a room facing the Hyatt. It still had a nice view, but next time I would like to face the pool.
Location: Tons of things to do within walking distance. We didn't need to rent a car.
Playa Linda was referred to us by friends of ours who had stayed there several years ago. My husband and I stayed there May 9 - May 16, 2014. It was awesome! Upon arrival we were informed that we had to change rooms on Sunday and the staff made this so easy. We didn't lift a finger! The resort has a beautiful, spotless pool and there are pleanty of chickees to go around. The beach attendants were great! It was a pleasure to see their smiling faces early in the morning...and free coffee too! We don't have a negative word to say about Playa Linda!

Comfortable beach front hotel

Posted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: mediterrain style much of it open air, clean friendly staff
Cons: mattress could be a bit more comfortable
Location: hotel is beach front in the middle of the high rise area, you could walk to all destinations
We can't wait to go back, playa linda had all the amenities we needed, white sandy beach was very clean, staff friendly and helpful, only draw back was you had to get up at 5am to claim a spot closest to the water but ultimately worth it

Great Location and Friendly Staff

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Cons: The rooms are very outdated and the walls were paper thin. You can hear people in the hallway very easily.
Location: Lots of restaurants, dancing, karaoke, happy hour and snorkeling. Definitely go on the "Jolly Pirates" ship if you go snorkeling.
This was my first time to Aruba and I am really pleased that I decided to stay at Playa Linda. The location was great, walking distance from everything and the Chickees and towels did not cost extra. There are lots of restaurants at the resort itself and all of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Pros: great location beach is fine lobby is ok entertainment in lobby is good
Cons: it is really dated needs some upgrades
NICE PLACE BUT we like to sleep late and the paper thin walls you hear maids ,service men other guests so loud u cant sleep . Also a 6:00 pm well before dark we were asked to give lounge chairs up so Beach attendant could "Go Home" Room are tough to maneuver by back hurt s from lack of comfort . If you do go the beach in the morning ask for KIRK he is a phenomenal person makes your vacation better !!!!!
