this is a time share and NOT a deluxe hotel

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: Beach area was beautiful. Room 146 was clean and fully equipped if having a full kitchen is important.
Cons: Attitude to non-residents. Activities such as music or welcoming parties. More day activities are geared to teens than to adults.
Location: on Palm-Eagle Beach which is beautiful stretch of beach walking distance to good restaurants.
Hotel is under construction which impacted our room with ugly view, loud noise and construction dust. it is a time share and "non-resident" guests are told they need to accept room given as only available room. Over 2 days of requests we received no assistance with changing room or changing hotel since we booked thru Expedia. The way the Playa Linda is built at least 3 floors of rooms lack water views. This makes it undesirable for visiting the Caribbean. We do not recommend it as a hotel and will not return there.

everything was wonderful

Pros: everything, its charm, its people the food and the other guests.
Cons: Slow close doors on the rooms. So you do not hear the doors slamming in the nite when people come back late.
Location: the proximity to the beach, resturants, shopping and casinos was perfect !
We had a great time and enjoyed all it had to offer!!!! We will be going back again next year!!!!! Can't wait to see the new pool!!!

Great Place to Stay in Aruba.

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: everything - the cleanness and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the beach and it was just great.
Cons: The time to get your Tiki Hut.
Location: Location is near everything. A Mall is across the street and restaurants are all within walking distance.
The room was great but one bedroom studio doesn't have much light - just the sliding doors to the balcony. Otherwise it was great and the bathroom was superior. I have been to Aruba 33 times and stayed at the Holiday Inn. this surpassed the Holiday Inn as far as room and bathroom facilities. The beach is great and the Tiki huts are great as well. The only bad thing is getting up early to reserve the hut you want. In our case it was 4:30 and waited until 6:00 to get the hut we wanted. I feel that the Playa Linda should assign a hut when you check in for the time you are there. The restaurants are close and the cabs are also right there for you if you need one. Recommend it highly.

It was OK

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: -Location -Proximity to bars and restaurants
The location of this resort was fantastic--definitely one of the best along the strip. Access to bars and restaurants was prime. Staff was very attentive in getting cabs for us and storing our luggage. The rooms were clean. There were, however, a few downfalls: -Inability to reserve a chickee in advance. The 6am wake-up to go out and claim a chickee was a bit tedious. I do wish there was an option to reserve a chickee for a week, even at an extra fee. -CHECK YOUR BALCONY DOOR SCANNER. We assumed that having our key would grant us access back into our room. Not if the battery is dead, which we found out after the door was closed and we found ourselves locked out on our balcony at 10pm. Fortunately, a woman was walking by and we managed to flag her down and have her tell reception. Once we were let in, we were told that this was the third scanner they had to replace the battery for that day. They should seriously be checking this before allowing renters to check in. -The staff wasn't always the friendliest. Evelina, in particular, I found to be a bit on the sour side. Overall, it was not the most romantic place for a couple's getaway. But definitely worth it for the affordable price and locale.

Great Location

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Loved the tropical feel and location.
Cons: Paid $45 for wifi that was spotty at best.
Location: Pelican bar on the beach, great food and happy hour. Azzuro restaurant was amazing located inside the hotel and gusto bar was a blast, short walk.
Great location in the middle of a busy strip on a beautiful beach.

The hotel is clean, and the room service was friendly. The hotel was next to the beautiful beach, and I had a wonderful vacation. I love Aruba.

Celebrated 20th Anniversary!

We loved the Playa Linda! Even though we had to change rooms, there was no inconvenience at all. The location in town is perfect walking distance to all venues. Kirk, the beach attendant is upbeat & always helpful! The hotels Beach Bar is the best! Diego, Mauro, Sassy, Claudia & Marc were so much fun! I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Aruba. Can't wait to revisit the happy island!

Would definitely go back!

Great location, great accommodations, friendly/knowledgable concierge! Loved our vacation to Aruba, and would highly recommend staying at the playa linda. In particular, loved having a kitchenette. Went to the store on the day to buy breakfast, lunch and snacks (and wine/liquor).
