Good stay. Facilities and availability of all-inclusive features was great. The food was OK, but not great in terms of quality.

Comfort and Great Location.Posted Sep 14, 2014
Great view, and close to off site amenities. Comfort of room was excellent. Although, room humidity was a major discomfort( bed sheets were damp, and any clothes hanging felt the same). Bed sheets could have been changed.

The Riu is a beautiful hotel but……….Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: We asked and received an upgrade. We had an excellent view of both the ocean and pool areas. It was a pleasure to sit on our terrace.
Cons: I think the food selection could be improved. Also very little night entertainment which the Riu in Punta Cana had. I suggest a different theme daily
Location: The location is perfect. We took a bus tour of the island, went snorkeling, shopping, boat tour, para sailing, and visited Baby Beach.
My experience at the Riu was great but if could have been rated excellent with a few minor adjustments. The staff was helpful and courteous, rooms were a little outdated in some areas but clean, and a fantastic pool. The beachfront was immaculate and a joy to just relax with family and friends. Easy access to the airport. The staff aimed to please. Beautiful atmosphere and only minutes from the downtown shopping area.

Mejor Señal TVPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The cleaning can be better (Total in the room ). Not only in the bath and the bed.
Cons: TV and cleaning
Location: More kiosk palm on the beach.
Los televisores son de tecnología antigua y merecen cambio. La señal es regular.

EhhhhPosted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Not much to say. Pool was beautiful. Other than that ehhhh.
Cons: Beds need to be changed. Hard as a rock. Could have sleep with the same comfort on the floor.
Experience was nice. Hotel so so. Family and friends being there was the best part of the trip. Had to change rooms, ac wasn't working. Hotel entertainment was less than par. Drinks watered down. Bed hard as a rock. Dinner to be all inclusive was less than par. The buffet was grt!

Old & Outdated ResortPosted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Check out day.
Cons: Just tear the place down & start from scratch, staff & all.
Location: Near downtown Aruba.
Walking into the lobby was like walking onto the set of an old dirty western movie. The furniture was old & dirty, art on the wall was dated, colors were dark & sad. I couldn't believe this place. The room put the icing on the 1000 year old birthday cake. Again furniture dingy & uninviting. The bedspread was older than Jesus himself! My side & back began to bother me because of their hard matress. I dreaded lying down for rest, you really didn't get any. We called for towels & washcloth at least three of days during our stay. Cleaning service would come in & do a shortly job and leave the same washcloths hanging from prior day use, no new ones provided. Everything was done on their time. You had to call a few different numbers before anyone would pick up & send help a half hour or so later. I thought we were possibly on candid camera, no way things could be this bad. We weren't, they were.

Excellent Hotel/VacationPosted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Beach, Pool Area, Ocean views from junior suite. Excellent attentive and happy bartenders at the pool bar. Fast/Free wifi.
Cons: Keeping birds out of the buffet at lunch (disgusting).
Location: Central location about a 5 minute walk from restaurants/clubs/shopping. Completely safe. Had no worries walking around late at night.
Had a great 4 night stay at the Riu Aruba. Amazing pool area, beautiful beach, friendly staff. Check in was a breeze. Paid extra for the junior suite ocean view(this is a must). We had a newly updated room (flat screen tv, huge balcony) on the top floor in the A block. Beautiful views. Wifi was free and fast and worked everywhere from the room to the beach. There was great variety in food at the buffets, but it was all average. (Common for all inclusive) I recommend the Nautilus Steak house on site, delicious surf and turf. Only complain would be that the sand on the beach was significantly rockier/full of shells than the sand on the beaches of surrounding hotels. The entertainment at night offered by the hotel was pretty lame as well. (Dancers) Highly recommended and would stay again.
