Pros: very accomodating
Location: in high rise section so many restaurants to choose from.
room was large & clean, staff was cordial and accommodating. pool was nice though many children and loud at times. walked across street to beach, beach staff very nice.

Location: Good location
Good location, a few minutes walk to the strip for food & shopping. Despite having to cross the street and walk through the Weston Hotel to get to their beach, it does offer straw huts and lounge chairs. Bring water shoes, some jagged rocks in water that you have to walk on to get past your knees. After 8 nights, I'm still not convinced this should have a 3 start rating. The building and the rooms need some major TLC, and most of the staff could care less if you are enjoying yourself. There is a 15% Service charge added to everything, and the bartender tried to explain to us that this was not their gratuity. This is part of their salary, and that the resort keeps a % for breakage & things. I explained that any money from my wallet, paid to him in addition to the cost of the food or drinks, is the gratuity regardless of the bogus practices of his employer. Worse, because the 15% is taken out automatically, roughly 90% of the staff does not smile or greet you, and when they see you waiting for service, they just get to you whenever they feel like it. One woman at the bar saw me waiting, the other staff member pointed at me to show her I was waiting to buy a drink, and she actually waved me off as if to say, screw him he can wait. So the man came around the bar to serve me. The staff behaves as if they are entitled to your money and not dependent on it. Therefor they don't work for it. My experience could've been better, but the service and attitudes are reprehensible.

Most unwelcoming staff. It took me 1 hour to check in as there was only one front desk clerk. The other person who was there said her shift was over and couldn't help. No one answers the front desk phone and it took me two personal visit to the front desk to get a spare bed which had been confirmed from Toronto months earlier. Not worth my money.

The outside looked OK, but the room was awful. The floors were dirty, the bathroom was very tiny with a rusted out mirror. The shower knobs were not marked and very cheaply made. The water leaked into the bathroom floor. It was a complete nightmare. When we came back for the night, the entrance to the hotel was blocked because of the bar next door--someone had to let us in the parking lot. I could not wait to leave the next morning, and left as soon as we woke up.

People are very friendly and helpful - we always enjoy our stay at The Mill. We see alot of familiar faces. Looking forward to returning next year - God willing.

Pros: Friendly - Clean - Pool Area
Location: Just across the street and short walk to the ocean.
We have been staying at The Mill Resort the past five years. We have met some very nice people on our visits and plan to return again next year. Very friendly people and the pool area is lovely. We like that it is small and not so crazy busy as the High Rises across the street. We just love Aruba and enjoy our time their - very relaxing for Bob & I. Hope to see everyone next year. We were sad to come home to snow and cold weather.
