Our Vacation in Aruba 2015

Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: It is two floors and not as busy as the High Rises!!! Very friendly - we always stay at The Mill Resort and we have been coming to Aruba for 8 years
Cons: A few years ago they updated some of the rooms but never completed all of them.
Location: There are plenty of water sports and entertainment available if you wish to take part or you can just relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and beach.
It was a great week - beautiful weather - good place to stay - nice pool area and gorgeous beaches - very relaxing. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to return again next year.

Dutch welcome !

Pros: Close to the beach with lots of quiet space.
Cons: More frequent towel changes and supply 2 beach towels per person instead of one.
Location: There is lots to see and do in this area - beach walk, board walk, tour through many shops and lots of restaurant choices.
Great location - close to the beach and very safe. The charming staff were very helpful. Everyone wants you to have a good time. Happy hour at the bar was lots of fun and a great way to meet other guests.

Through the Mill

Posted Jan 30, 2015
OK 1st the positive: Good location, 1/2 mile ti strip and high rise hotels. Nice lobby and pool area, with a bar and restaurant. Inexpensive, compared with surrounding hotels. Happy Tony, the greeter in the lobby was a very nice guy, good morning, afternoon and evening. Not so typical if the rest of the staff and for that matter most of the people working in Aruba. Air condition was great in the rooms. Rooms were clean. Now for the bad: Paper thin walls, you could hear conversation, phone ringing, shower everything from adjoining room. Bathroom and separate sink area needs updating. Its worn and the toilet is tiny, almost unusable for an adult. Maid service was awful, they forgot to clean the room one day and needed to be called daily for missing towels. There is a club located next door to the hotel that is open daily until 6 am. It plays very loud music all night long, which you can hear from almost all the rooms to some degree. There is a store in the lobby that the owner is absolutely ignorant. We went in there at least 6 times and she was in her cell phone every time speaking very loudly, ignoring customers and just plane rude, actually throwing change in the counter one time all while still talking in the phone. I don't think she is part of the hotel staff, just to be fair. All in all there are much worse places to stay and also much better. for the price, I would recommend it if you can deal with the noise.

Cons: Most everything.
Only good thing was the bed. The shower and bathroom had mold in it. The room had a nasty odor. The hotel needed an update.

Friendly hotel close to Palm Beach

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff and nicely remodeled room. Easy access to the beach. Mobile phone signal was strong. Convenient market in resort. Close to supermarkets
Cons: Access to the internet should be available every day and in every room. Tokens/quoters for washer and dryer should be available.
Location: The Mill Resort is located close to the beach, restaurants and shopping plaza. Take an island tour to all tourist attractions located nearby.
It was a pleasant stay in a low rise resort close to the Palm Beach in Aruba. Resort has an easy access to the beach and a beautiful Caribbean Sea. Friendly staff and nicely remodeled rooms creates a very comfortable atmosphere. However mobile phone signal was very strong there was no access to the internet during most of the stay two weeks stay around Christmas and a New Year. There was no outlet for the connection to the Internet in the room. Washer and dryer in the Resort Laundry Room operates on US quoters which are not easily available on the island. Resort is located close to the restaurants and supermarkets. Also it is a convenient small market in the resort.
