well located, needs updated and better partnership

Pros: proximity to downtown and the shuttle service to downtown.
Cons: partnership with the neighboring adventure park for discounts, update the rooms, add common modern amenities.
Location: close to downtown, adventure park and the asheville tennis club, plus the scuba school, natural market and amazing breakfast place in the strip mall.
The room was clean, but in need of updates and the 2 double beds were too soft. One of the nights there was a dog next door that wouldn't stop barking. Dogs in supposedly 4 star hotels? It made it feel like we were in the super 8. The hotel is right next to the asheville adventure park/Kolo bike park, but there aren't any discounts available for staying at the hotel. It is a missed opportunity. Especially for families. You have to drive through a strip mall to get to the hotel. weird and confusing, but the grocery store and breakfast place are amazing.

Thank you for your feedback. Most of the hotels in Asheville are dog friendly. We do only put animals on certain floors. I apologize if you were not given a discount at the adventure park as they do offer discounts to our guests. We are renovating this winter and we hope you will come back and give us a second chance. Old and badly needs a remodel

Pros: The area and land the hotel is on is really nice. It is convenient to get to a from downtown.
Cons: Old and outdated. They need to spend the money to update it.
The hotel is not terrible, but it is old and very much needs a remodel. The carpet, d├ęcor, and amenities are just outdated. The bathroom is so small you can't even open the door the whole way. It was clean but just not really that nice.

Pros: There was a lot to like and highly recommend to anyone. Room was beautifully decorated and comfortable.
Cons: Only complaint was the size of the bathroom. Was a little small compared to the size and quality of the room.
Location: Good location and close to town. Lots of good restaurant options in the downtown area.
Nice hotel for the price we paid. Nice room and the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in!!!! Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very disappointed initially- especially with room

Pros: Convenience
Cons: Update rooms and hallways/lighting/carpet. Bananas at breakfast along with thermoses of hot water and honey for hot tea lovers. Clean balconies
Location: Close to downtown Asheville
With the name 'Crowne Plaza', my expectation were a bit distorted. The property itself is beautiful with zip lines and walking paths but the rooms are dull, and in need of rehab. Bathroom was especially small with the door close to hitting the toilet. The carpet looked old and a musty smell filled the room. Bed was comfortable. The A/C / heat unit was loud and old. Our room overlooked large lawn. Couldn't see mountains. Staff was friendly, and location of property very convenient We paid extra for breakfast. Made to order omelets and waffles were good. No bananas. .

Honeymoon getaway

When we got to our hotel the women at the front desk was not very nice to us. I had requested a room with a king size bed but instead was given a room with two double beds. I went up to the front desk and pointed out our reservation paperwork that we requested a king size bed. She stated that there were no rooms available that had a king size bed. After my mom who had paid for our stay as a wedding present called and talked to the woman at the front desk who still insisted that she could not put us in a room with a king size bed. But some how 15 minutes later she called us and switched us to a room with a king size bed. She stated the reason why was that someone cancelled their reservation and that was it. Still the room was clean and the rest of the staff I interacted with was nice. The spa services were great!! Lesson learned really make sure you got the room you want!

Great hotel accessible to main road.

Pros: great location and good service.
Cons: I called ahead to get an early check-in. (1PM) The front desk was gracious and tried to help but another employee insisted they shouldn't bother.
Location: This is close to Candler, where we have family we were visiting, but also close to Asheville for restaurants.
The service at the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The made to order omelets and large variety of offerings were excellent, and our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Most of the front desk employees were extremely helpful and courteous.

Hard to find location

Business meeting at the Crowne.

Came to Asheville for a conference. The room was completely satisfactory, clean and comfortable. I would come back for leisure visit.
