Trains, Trains, and more trains

Posted Dec 24, 2014
Pros: parking convenient to room
Cons: Unless you can get the train to move the tracks, i suggest everyone be given earplugs at check-in
We stayed there on a Saturday night and checked in about 11 PM. We didn't know the hotel is about 50 yards from a train track and trainds kept going hrough all night, waking us each time one went through. We'll never stay there again.

Good Value

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: clean and fairly modern rooms
Cons: healthier options at breakfast
Location: Black Mountain, Asheville, Biltmore Estate, Blue Ridge Parkway
This hotel isn't spectacular but a good value. i've stayed here many times and the rooms are up to date in terms of furniture and always clean. The breakfast is pretty sparse but many hotels at this price offer no breakfast at all. it's just a few minutes outside of Asheville but worth the short drive compared to hotels at comparable prices closer in.

Nice for the price close to shopping

I wanted to change from smoking to non-smoking and had no trouble. If you're a smoker there are rooms available. If you don't know, in N C they can't put cooked food out. The breakfast available is waffles you can make, cereal, fruits, yogurt, packaged scrambled eggs you microwave and of course coffee.

5 am Train wake up call

Posted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: They could return my property.
1. A train passes just outside the window every 4/5 hours blasting it's horn. It passed by about 5 am, a nice wake up call!!! 2. I left something in the room and called the next day. They denied anything was left in the room. It was of no value to anyone but is going to cost me $1500.00 to replace. 3. The breakfast area was so overcrowded there was no place to sit.

Affordable & pet friendly

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Room a bit on the small size but we were only there to sleep. Staff has no idea how to give someone directions, i.e. they don't know north from south etc. Other than that, the stay was fine and they do accept pets, certainly affordable. Just a few minutes from the Biltmore Estate.

Decent location, staff nice

I checked in to what I thought was a smoke free room. It wreaked of cigarette smoke in the hallway and the room itself. I called downstairs and they moved me to the first floor... That room was better. The beds were very firm, like a board. The crape needed to be vacuumed especially by the baseboards.... Lots of dust, train comes by twice during the nite.

Just convenient

Posted Nov 16, 2014
The hotel was very convenient to downtown and allowed pets, which was the only plus. I felt it was overpriced given the smallness of the rooms and the hallways reeked of smoke.

I choose Days Inn for their value when I travel. Biltmore East Days Inn is beautifully maintained, breakfast was hot and ready and the staff very pleasant.

Nice hotel staff went out of their way very friendly but hotel needs laundry facilities for customers. Nothing around the area within walking distance. Very clean room and very comfortable.
