“Heart of it All”
I had always known this hotel to be in the middle of just about everything downtown, but I had never stayed here until a few days ago. It was formerly another brand's property but I think going independent has possibly helped it out. The decor is a bit 80's hotel-style but it's well kept. I had read some reviews that the noise might be of an issue. My room was facing the street side, yet I felt just as comfy cozy than if I was in my own home. The fan does mask the noise well, without doing that usual rumble rumble whirring noise. The latest addition to the hotel is what I found to be the best, which is an elevator that opens directly to the parking lot. For a time there was only one small one in the lobby which would have made for a lot of unneeded trips back and forth. Parking can be a little tight but if you're in early, there's room and they did have overflow available. Overall, I am glad that this hotel is available and with reasonable rates. Those that can be a little finicky having to have a "perfect" hotel may not approve, but it's just fine for most of us...
“Hotel Review”
Expected a basic budget hotel but was pleased to find it quite nice. Not brand new, of course, but clean and comfortable, good management and a great location.
“great find in Asheville”
Lucky find! Very convenient location in downtown Asheville with great food available locally. Public areas look a little tired but rooms are very clean and have fridge and microwave and coffee. Breakfast is excellent. Desk staff very pleasant and we left our car in the hotel carpark after check-out so we could enjoy a morning stroll and lunch. Would recommend and will return
“Convienant yes...but so close to the street, very noisey, traffic, sirenes, street sweepers”
The people were pleasant, the room was clean, but the downside to the hotel, is that it is located within 20ft of the street, a main thorough fare...traffic, sirenes, street sweepers...if it wasn't for that, I would say it was the perfect place, but doubt I would stay there again, because of the noise, and the tight parking in the lot, I was worried about my car the whole time I was there.
“Great location at a great price”
Although outdated and less than attractive decor, this hotel has an excellent location in downtown Asheville. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the low rate includes a good continental breakfast. There is a nice outside pool and it appears they are doing some rennovation. Only negative was not enough parking on the weekend but a parking garage across the street is used for overflow.
“Convienient , comfortable and affordable”
If you are looking for a comfortable and convientient place to stay in Asheville, this is it. They even call you after check-in to make sure your room is up to snuff! The hotel has free parking, but I wouldn't recommend bringing a large vehicle due to the cramped nature of the lot. All in all, I will definitely stay there again.
“Good Hotel...staff was nice and location was perfect.”
This hotel was exactly what i was looking for. Something cheap with clean rooms, friendly staff and an overall safe feeling. the Hotel is in walking distance to bars and restaurants downtown. it it nothing special and its not a lot to look at but it definitely served its purpose. i will be staying there again.
“Best Value in Asheville Downtown Area Hands Down”
Great service. Left a pillow behind and they are sending it. Breakfast was provided with good quality danishes, rolls, bagels, juices, coffee and much more. They are still fixing it up but what a great deal for the location.
“Prefect Location”
The hotel was an older hotel but great service and clean room. We travel a lot and I have stayed in many hotel/motels. We will be staying there again The parking lot was small and no where to walk my dog but not a big problem. We walked to everything we wanted to see. The bed was very comfortable and clean. Great weekend get away place.
“Convenient location to lots of fun Asheville food and activities”
Rooms were clean. Pool looked nice, though we didn't get to use it. Halls and elevator were a bit run down, but so what? Walking distance to tons and tons of fun Asheville activities. Helpful staff. Can't beat it for location and price.
