It was ok.

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Fitness room clean and had one of each treadmill for use.
Cons: Staff were friendly but a house keeper would knock on our door every morning to get towels only.
Location: Good Greek restaurant near by.
I felt it was just 'ok'. It was near the Outlet mall but not much more for me.

Thank you for staying at our hotel. Besides the outlet mall across the street, we have numerous locally owned restaurants within 2 blocks. Also the Blue Ridge Parkway, NC Arboretum and the WNC Farmer's Market about 1-2 miles from our hotel. Come back and enjoy them! Best, Ellen Pettigrew

Our hotel is just far enough from the interstate that makes our hotel very quiet. We are glad you have a great time here with your family. We are looking forward to your return visit! Best, Ellen Pettigrew, Manager

The ottoman in our room had a huge stain on it. The wall had a picture that had been moved which needed to be re-painted. Kinda dirty and out-dated. Overpriced. Staff was great though, very nice and maids did a good job cleaning room. There was a fridge in the room that was nice and a good tv.

Great beds, nice pool, abysmal breakfast

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was good sized.
Cons: Breakfast. Expand the space and provide better eggs.
Location: Right off HWY 25. Less than 10 minutes to Biltmore Mansion, 40 minutes to Chimney Rock. Several places to eat nearby.
We stayed here for two nights in June. The beds were comfortable, the rooms a good size. The outdoor pool was lovely. The gym looked good, but at this point in our journey I was too tired to partake. The sad thing here was breakfast. They shove a lot of stuff into one long counter with a wall behind the line of people. It was dreadfully hard to get around and if someone of any size is waiting on their pancake they can block the whole area. The choices were not great. The scrambled eggs were gross, but my daughter claims the biscuits and gravy were good. One morning the cinnamon rolls were delicious, the next day they were hard and dry.

Thank you for staying with us. I am glad you enjoyed most of our amenities. I am sorry the breakfast buffet was not up to our standards. Most of our guests love the variety of our breakfast. Hope to see you again! Best, Ellen Pettigrew, Manager

Stop off trip on the way to KY

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Clean, convenient, right off exit 33 on I-26
Cons: Get rid of the $10. hold policy or be clear what it is for during check-in.
Location: Lack of gas stations other than Citgo. We ate in a restaurant a couple of stoplights down which seemed okay. Nothing special and similar to an Outback
Room was good but smelled of some spray as if attempting to cover up prior smoking. Check-in person wanted my credit card to hold for incidental expenses. I ask why and what type of incidental expenses such as bar in the room he said he did not know and there was no bar. He said it was a hotel requirement. He actually appeared not to like his job very much. After checkout the following day I checked by bank account and found a $10. charge. I called the hotel to inquire as to why. I spoke to a great guy named Scott. He said it is just a hold and the front desk person should know this and not say they did not know. It took about 3 days to get the $10. hold off and the phone call. All unnecessary since the room was paid in full in advance. The hotel needs to tell folks upfront regarding what the hold charge is for and in my opinion they should revisit this policy as it sends a message of distrust to the customer.

I am glad you stayed at our hotel! We appreciated your business very much. I am sorry that the authorization charge was not explained correctly. The $10 pending charge drops off after 3 days. We hope to see you again! Best, Ellen Pettigrew, Manager

Biltmore Trip

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: Convenience and staff.
Cons: Food could be better, and the beds were not very comfortable.
Location: Great outlet mall almost across the street and a wonderful shoe store close by. Biltmore Estate is pretty close and not too hard to get to.
The hotel was very nice. The room was clean and while not spacious, it was comfortable. The front desk was very helpful and gave us a lot of good directions to different venues. Shopping is very convenient. The free breakfast was adequate, but not outstanding. They did have a good selection, however. We would definitely stay there again.
