Mountain VacationPosted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: The convenience, cleanliness, overall a very accommodating hotel.
Location: Dupont State Park was minutes away, as was Chimney Rock, and there is plenty to do in downtown Hendersonville if that's to your liking.
The person behind the desk when we checked in was very, very helpful. He directed us to points of interest in the area and helped us find just what we were looking for. He was very kind. After the first day we didn't really speak to any of the other people behind the desk, so we can't comment on them, but the first man was extremely nice and just couldn't do enough for us.

Staff was very friendly however the wifi was awfu when you could connect at all and every A/C outlet in my room was worn out. I had to spread the prongs on my cards to keep them plugged in

Ok hotelPosted Oct 7, 2014
This hotel was a disappointment for the money. The room was clean but worn...The air conditioning unit was very noisy...There was only one entrance (most hotels have numerous entrances operated with room key).

Dead cockroaches inside the front door.Posted Oct 6, 2014
There were dead cockroaches right inside the lobby. We were given our room and as we opened the door, we were hit with the smell of smoke even though it's a nonsmoking hotel. We changed rooms a was a bit better but then noticed a stink bug crawling inside of our window. We could not wait to leave!! We didn't want to eat the free breakfast with the dead cockroaches.

Nice overnight in the mountainsPosted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: I was so pleased to find they had pillows that didn't feel like sleeping on basketballs. Updated décor in our room very attractive.
Cons: If there was a way to keep cigarette smoke from the entrance, it would be nice. But the inside was very nice.
Location: Beautiful mountains. Close to waterfalls and Chimney Rock.
The hotel was easily booked online. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dining and shopping were easy to get to from the hotel. Breakfast was included and very good. The outside entrance reeked of cigarette smoke, but there was no trace of it in the building.
