“great stay, great value.”

While a little off the road, Its next door to Outback, so that makes up for it. Staff was very nice. Michelle gave a great reference for a restaurant in Lake Lure. Clean, quiet, great value. Highly recommended.

“Adequate”

It was adequate. It was clean, everything worked. The bedding, towels, mattress, TV and breakfast were adequate. I would have liked to have seen more on the menu for breakfast but I didn't leave hungry either. We were only there to spend the night and leave the next morning so for our needs it was adequate.

Area recommendations
I felt that the price for this room had been increased due to it being autumn and lots of people were staying there. They were traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the brightly colored hues of autumn.

“Wendy Katchis”

Hotel is off the main road, little hard to find. However that does mean that it is very quiet with very little traffic noise. Employee staff very polite and very helpful. Breakfast was adquate with a few choices of cereals, waffales, coffee and juices. Bedroom was very clean and comfortable, however no refrigerator and microwave which would be helpful. The price was very affordable.

“I would stay here again”

My husband and I had finished a 1,900 mile journey From Tucson AZ. to visit our son in Etowah, NC. We were very pleased with the Red Roof. Brian greeted us as if we had known him for years. He explained about the location of our room and about the continental breakfast available in the morning. He asked if there was anything he could do for us to simply ask. The room was comfortable and inviting. The only thing negative was the remote for the television did not work. The use of the computer was a great advantage, since I do not have a laptop. The location was perfect. It was surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities. The area was easy to get around and if we had questions about directions everybody we asked was very helpful. I would stay at this Red Roof again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Etowah, NC.

“Quiet and convenient”

The title says it all! An added bonus is the proximity to the area's best breakfast at the Fireside Restaurant and Pancake Inn.

JO Volleyball tournament away from home. Trip was somewhat last minute, but overall went well. We stayed at the gym all day for the tournament, so we didn't see many sights otherwise.

“Good Hotel for the Money.”

We arrived about an hour and a half before official check in and hoped we would be allowed to check in so we could freshen up before heading to Biltmore. After some discussion between the front desk attendant & another employee, we were told it wasn't ready. I could tell by their conversation that rooms booked online (online - rooms w/2 beds) were not ready but rooms w/single beds were, but they didn't offer anything to us. The top was peeling off the chest/TV table, but wasn't extremely obvious. The free breakfast was a definite plus. It was wonderful not to incur additional charges for our little Gracie (Chihuahua). We will definitely stay there again since we go to Asheville quite often.

Shopping
If you enjoy antiques, you absolutely MUST stop by "Needful Things". It's 2 floors with over 100 dealers. You'll be totally amazed! I go every chance I get and see so many beautiful and interesting items I don't think I could have seen anywhere else! It's off I-26 at exit 49A.
