Interesting Hotel, Few Amenities...

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The rooms are very comfortable and the price was nice.
Cons: We could not get anyone to clean our room. Seemed that the cleaning staff was not very organized.
Location: West Asheville. Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby.
Beautiful setting but interesting clientelle. We slept great although we were worried. Nothing negative happened. No amenities on site, i.e. pool, restaurant, breakfast. Several restaurants are located nearby.

Just what I needed

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: My favorite part was the cost and location. It is surrounded by other hotels, gas stations, and places to eat. Plus it was affordable.
Cons: A small fridge in the room would be nice but that's only if I wanted to be picky. I only stayed one night so I just grabbed ice to keep drinks cold.
Location: I was there for business so I only got to enjoy a small amount of free time. They had thrift stores really close by and cafes. Close to downtown.
I had an excellent experience. The location was perfect, staff was friendly, and room was very clean.

Expedia overpriced this hotel.

Posted Jun 30, 2014
This is a nice, basic, clean hotel with a friendly staff. I do feel, however, Expedia overcharged for the room at this location. I am disappointed with the website, but not the hotel. Wireless was down our entire stay, due to a storm, we were told.

Clean and comfy

Posted Jun 24, 2014
We used this hotel as a stopover on our trip to Florida and knew we wouldn't get there until 3 am. We have had hotels sell our reserved rooms out from under us before and have to scramble when we arrived late. Our room at the rri was ready and our incredibly kind receptionist said shed been expecting us. Welcome news when the eyelids are getting heavy! The room was fine. They've gone to hardwood laminate instead of carpet and the rooms feel kind of European or like an ikea room. It was just what we needed and at a great price.

Clean, convenient, affordable!

I'm always worried when i travel about bringing home bedbugs. I hear so many horror stories. But this place is CLEAN. I always do a thorough check before unpacking, and this place passed with flying colors twice within 6 months. It freaks me out a little that people who stay here (regularly?) sit in chairs in their doorways so they can smoke and watch you unpack your car, but the actual hotel employees were always helpful and upbeat. They even grow vegetables in the front garden, which I think is AWESOME. I didn't expect such great service for such low rates, it was a happy surprise.

It's was a clean and newer looking hotel. What would make it perfect is if it had free breakfast.

I travel with my dog and I felt very comfortable because the staff was very caring. Also they have a dog run area that my dog enjoyed a lot.

Good location....room was not up to snuff.

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: cleanliness
The hotel staff was friendly and check in went smoothly. I was disappointed with the room, it felt "old and musty" and not cleaned thoroughly. Overall, it was OK for the price, but I would not return. It was located in walking distance to a Cracker Barrel and several restaurants close by.

Not worth the money

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Very clean and new, and the location is very convenient to the Interstate. Very nice TV. Best for us was the 1:00pm check-in time.
Cons: More comfortable beds/carpet, and more of a sense of openness. A sofa and a table/chairs instead of the second double bed would be nice.
Location: Convenient to I-40 and West Asheville. Variety of shops and restaurants nearby. Hiking/Blue Ridge Parkway a short distance away.
We had a very hard time finding the entrance to the hotel even though we could see the hotel itself. Signs were inadequate to take us there. We had a first floor room. The air in the room felt very sterile and stuffy. The bed was uncomfortable and the floor was extremely hard. Refrigerators and microwaves are NOT standard without an upgrade. No breakfast of any kind was available.

convenient, very helpful staff

Everything was nice except the smell was overpoweringly antseptic and the sink didn't drain - we had to take the drain plug out.
